Strong in heat, no clear weak spot
The BISOL Spectrum series is a response to the growing market demand for aesthetically pleasing photovoltaic panels integrated with architecture. Unlike standard modules, Spectrum offers a wide range of color-tinted monocrystalline solar cells - from deep red and terracotta orange, through forest green and marble patterns, to alabaster white - allowing for seamless integration of the installation into the building's facade or roof. The modules are available as a BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) solution, where specially framed panels completely replace traditional roofing, creating a uniform and architecturally cohesive surface. The frame is available in any color from the RAL palette, and the background color of the cells can be customized to the design, giving architects and investors complete freedom of creation. The series is particularly well-suited for historic buildings, premium apartment complexes, public buildings, and commercial investments, where aesthetics are as important as performance. The tempered glass provides high resistance to weather conditions, and the guarantee of 85% power retention after 25 years significantly exceeds the market standard of 80%, making Spectrum a conscious choice for demanding architects and investors seeking a durable and effective energy solution.
Ranking
Signals from the data
BIPV, commercial and residential.
Top 2% of the PERC 400-450 W segment, against a median of -0.350. Ranked 2,165th in the whole database.
Top 17% of the PERC 400-450 W segment, against a median of 25 yrs.
The series features colored monocrystalline cells available in over a dozen variants — including red, terracotta, green, marble, and white — paired with a frame in any RAL shade. It is the only series on the market enabling full replacement of roof cladding with PV modules while maintaining a uniform aesthetic, a decisive advantage for heritage buildings and premium projects where standard black modules are not permitted.
The manufacturer guarantees 85% of nominal power output after 25 years, significantly exceeding the industry-standard 80% threshold applied by peers such as VDS Renewable and Sunket in this power class. The product warranty runs for 25 years, with full linear protection extending to 30 years.
BISOL has manufactured modules in Slovenia since 2004, in compliance with IEC 61215 and IEC 61730. The declared warranty claim rate is just 0.01% — one of the lowest in the European segment. The company has earned the EuPD Research Top Brand title four times in Belgium and France, confirming its brand recognition and quality reputation in Western European markets.
Modules are fitted with 3.2 mm tempered glass, delivering superior mechanical resistance to snow and wind loads compared to thinner glazing solutions (1.2–2.0 mm used by some manufacturers in this segment). This is particularly significant in BIPV installations, where the module simultaneously functions as a structural building element.
The ability to freely select cell background color and frame finish from the RAL palette gives architects a design tool unavailable in any of the peer comparables (VDS Renewable, Sunket, Luxor Solar). This translates into a tangible competitive edge in commercial projects and public buildings subject to heritage conservation restrictions.
The series reaches a maximum efficiency of 20.5%, while the Luxor Solar Eco Line N-type TOPCon achieves 21.33% and the Sunket SKT410M10 reaches 21.0% at the same 410 Wp power class. The gap is partly attributable to the cell coloring technology, but in installations with limited roof area it can translate into measurably lower energy yield compared to conventional, non-colored alternatives.
The series does not offer bifacial modules, whereas a direct peer comparable — the Luxor Solar Eco Line N-type TOPCon Glass-Glass — is available as a bifacial module in the same 410 Wp power class. In ground-mounted systems or pergola applications, bifaciality can increase annual energy yield by 5–15%, a benefit the Spectrum series cannot provide.
BISOL does not appear on the bankable manufacturer lists published by BNEF or Bloomberg NEF Tier 1. For investors financing installations through bank loans or leasing, this may represent a barrier — certain financial institutions require products from manufacturers with certified bankability status as a precondition for project financing.
- Efficiency of 20.5% matches the PERC 400-450W median
- Power density of 205.2 W/m² matches the PERC 400-450W median
- At -0.29%/°C (vs median -0.35%/°C), loses ~2% less power in hot conditions
- At 21.0 kg, weight matches the PERC 400-450W median
- In the top 81% for efficiency among all PERC panels
