Middle of its segment, weak in heat
The Amerisolar AS-7M144-HC series consists of monocrystalline photovoltaic panels using PERC technology with half-cut cells, which significantly reduce resistive losses and improve partial shading resistance. The use of 144 cells with a multi-busbar technology results in better current distribution, reduced thermal stress, and a longer module lifespan compared to traditional designs. The panel features an exceptionally robust aluminum frame, capable of withstanding extreme wind and snow loads - a crucial feature for the Polish climate, where weather conditions can be demanding. The 144-cell format in a large enclosure makes this series particularly attractive for industrial, commercial, and agricultural installations, where maximum power output from a limited roof or ground area is essential. A 25-year linear performance warranty ensures predictable returns on investment. The AS-7M144-HC is a proposition for investors seeking a proven technology at a competitive price, combining reliability with high solar energy conversion efficiency.

The manufacturer guarantees performance for 30 years – this is a significant advantage over many competitors offering standard 25-year warranties. For commercial installations with a power output of 100–500 kWp, the extended warranty directly improves the project's financial model and makes investment financing easier.
The aluminum frame is certified to withstand snow loads up to 5400 Pa and wind loads up to 2400 Pa – values significantly above the typical minimum (2400/2400 Pa). In the Polish climate, where the standard snow load in mountainous and sub-mountain areas reaches the fourth zone (approximately 3000 Pa), this provides a significant safety margin.
The maximum efficiency of 21.28% places this module on par with the IBC Solar 182M Half Cell (21.28%) and close to the Goldi Solar GS10-B144-TF and S-Energy SL65-72BGJ (both 21.3%). The module does not lag behind its direct competitors in terms of energy conversion per square meter.
Dividing the cell in half reduces resistive losses and limits the impact of partial shading – while maintaining the same nominal power, it generates a higher annual yield compared to older full-cell systems. The multi-busbar (MBB) technology reduces thermal stress and microcracks, which translates into slower long-term degradation.
Amerisolar has been operating continuously since 1993, representing over three decades of photovoltaic module production. Its long history in the market reduces the risk of the manufacturer suddenly disappearing during the warranty period – a significant factor when considering a 30-year investment horizon.
The AS-7M144-HC series is a monofacial module. In installations with a clear substrate (gravel, concrete), bifacial modules achieve a real additional energy yield of 5–15% from the rear side. This represents a significant cost alternative for PV farm projects.
In 2025-2026, N-type TOPCon modules became the standard, with pricing approaching that of PERC, offering a lower LID (light-induced degradation) coefficient and a better temperature coefficient (approximately -0.30%/°C vs -0.35%/°C for PERC). The AS-7M144-HC, designed in 2021, does not utilize these improvements, which could result in slightly lower overall performance in warm climates or in installations without adequate cooling.
Independent sources (SolarReviews, EnergySage) and the case of the 3.7 MWp project, along with TÜV Rheinland testing, indicate significant difficulties with the claims process at Amerisolar. For commercial investors, where enforcing guarantees over decades is crucial, this represents a real operational risk.
