Strong in heat, no clear weak spot
The Aptos Solar DNA 108-Bifacial panel series is an advanced solution utilizing patented DNA technology, which allows for maximizing energy yields while maintaining exceptional mechanical durability. Thanks to the bifacial design, these modules generate additional power reflected from the ground, making them an ideal choice for ground-mount installations and roofs with light-colored surfaces. The use of half-cut cells combined with multi-busbar technology minimizes internal losses and increases resistance to micro-cracks, which directly translates into the financial stability of the investment. A distinguishing feature of the series is its certified resistance to extreme weather conditions, including snow and wind loads that exceed market standards, solving the safety problem in difficult locations. These panels are dedicated to investors seeking uncompromising quality, combining aesthetics with the highest efficiency in low light. With a 25-year product warranty and a linear power warranty, the DNA 108-Bifacial series distances itself from the competition in terms of long-term reliability and real profits. This is a premium-class solution that combines innovative design with patented Dual Nano Auditing technology, ensuring rigorous quality control of every cell. The use of 108 cells allows for maintaining optimal dimensions, facilitating installation on residential roofs where every centimeter of surface area counts while maintaining powerful efficiency. By choosing this model, you gain the certainty that the system will stand the test of time.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Residential, commercial, shaded-installations and cold-climate.
Top 5% of the PERC 400-450 W segment, against a median of -0.350. Ranked 8,312th in the whole database.
Top 17% of the PERC 400-450 W segment, against a median of 25 yrs.
Aptos Solar offers a 30-year warranty on both the product and a linear power warranty – a rarity in the market, where the standard is typically 25 years (JA Solar, Jinko, Trina Solar). This translates to a significantly lower investment risk over the entire lifespan of the installation.
The dual-sided construction, featuring patented Dual Nano Absorber (DNA) technology, allows for the generation of an additional 10 to 25% of power, depending on the surface albedo. Ideal for ground-mounted installations on light surfaces (concrete, gravel, snow).
The panel is certified to withstand snow and wind loads up to 5400 Pa, which is twice the minimum requirements of IEC 61215 (2400 Pa). This is particularly important in areas with heavy snowfall or strong winds.
The series achieves a maximum efficiency of 21.25%, placing it among the top direct competitors (LEDVANCE M395~415: 21.25%; Sunova TS-BG54: 21.25%), with only a 0.03% difference compared to AE Solar AURORA. This result is excellent for a premium segment product with an identical configuration of 108 cells.
Dividing the cells reduces internal resistance and losses under partial shading, while the multi-busbar technology shortens current paths and reduces the risk of microcracks – resulting in more stable performance over the long term without a significant increase in module cost.
The production of the DNA 108-Bifacial series was completed in 2025. This means limited availability on the market, potential difficulties in replacing damaged modules, and the risk of a lack of ongoing service support within the 30-year warranty period.
PERC bifacial achieves a bifaciality ratio of approximately 70%, while TOPCon cells achieve 80–90%. The annual degradation rate for PERC is 0.5–0.7% compared to approximately 0.25% for TOPCon. As of 2024, TOPCon accounts for over 66% of global module production, making PERC a declining technology for new investments.
The module is certified for fire resistance only in Class C (UL 61730), not Class A. This could be a formal limitation in jurisdictions that require Class A for installation on sloped roofs or in dense urban areas – it is necessary to verify local regulations before purchasing.
Aptos Solar Technology has been operating since 2019 and is not included in the BNEF Tier 1 list (threshold: >1.5 GW annual production). Its shorter track record and smaller scale compared to market leaders (JA Solar, Jinko, Trina) could limit the "bankability" of the project when seeking external financing.
- Efficiency of 20.5% matches the PERC 400-450W median
- Power density of 204.8 W/m² matches the PERC 400-450W median
- -0.32%/°C temperature coefficient (median: -0.35%/°C) - retains ~1% more power at high temperatures
- In the top 82% for efficiency among all PERC panels
