Efficiency leader, no clear weak spot
The Luxor Solar Eco Line N-Type HJT Glass-Glass Bifacial (Transparent, Frameless) series is designed for installations where both aesthetics and maximum energy yield are important. The use of N-Type HJT (heterojunction) solar cells helps minimize power losses over time and maintain high efficiency even under demanding operating conditions. The glass-glass construction enhances mechanical and thermal stability, while also improving the durability of the module compared to typical solutions with a backsheet. A key advantage is bifacial generation - the panel can operate from "both sides," providing additional energy gain, for example, over a light surface or in open-air configurations. The transparent, frameless design makes the modules ideal for semi-transparent applications: carport canopies, terrace covers, greenhouses, or facades. Carefully designed edge sealing enhances resistance to moisture and ensures long-term reliability in installations requiring high levels of dependability.
Ranking
Signals from the data
BIPV, residential and commercial.
Top 1% of the HJT 400-450 W segment, against a median of 22.20%. Ranked 1,683rd in the whole database.
Top 11% of the HJT 400-450 W segment, against a median of 221.6.
At 23.07%, efficiency clearly exceeds comparable 440 Wp modules: JA Solar JAM54D40 (22.5%), Lina Energy LEPV 132 (22.37%), and G-STAR GSN7S54T (22.53%). This translates into a smaller required installation area for the same power output.
HJT technology delivers a lower LID/LETID degradation rate and better efficiency retention at high temperatures than older PERC cells, resulting in higher real-world energy yield over the system's lifetime.
The manufacturer offers 30 years of both product and power warranty - longer than the standard 25 years offered by most competing tier-1 manufacturers, increasing long-term investment security.
Bifaciality enables additional energy yield from ground reflection (e.g., bright roofing, gravel), while the transparent, frameless form factor opens up applications unavailable to standard modules - carports, terrace canopies, winter gardens, and semi-transparent facades.
Glass-glass construction instead of standard glass-backsheet improves resistance to moisture, microcracks, and thermal stress, which matters especially in demanding BIPV applications and variable weather exposure.
Luxor Solar does not appear as a Tier-1 manufacturer in BloombergNEF's bankability classification, unlike JA Solar from the peer comparables. This may complicate financing for large-scale projects where banks require this classification.
As a German manufacturer founded in 2007 operating in the niche of transparent glass-glass modules, Luxor Solar has a significantly smaller production scale than global tier-1 giants, which can translate into higher unit pricing and longer lead times compared to mass-market competitor models.
- 23.1% module efficiency - 0.9pp better than the HJT 400-450W median of 22.2%
- 227.3 W/m² power density - 5.7 W/m² more than HJT 400-450W median (221.6 W/m²), more power per roof area
- At -0.24%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for HJT 400-450W panels
- 92% bifaciality enables rear-side power generation, boosting yield by 5-14% on reflective surfaces
- #1683 for efficiency, #13 for temperature performance out of 14005 panels

Datasheet charts
Measured curves published by Luxor Solar in this model's datasheet. A chart carrying a wattage was measured on that variant alone - only the ones that describe 440 Wp appear here. The rest cover the whole series.
Simulations
Degradation from this panel's own datasheet figures. No inverter, soiling or shading losses.
Model: bifaciality × albedo × 0.6 view factor. A first-order estimate, not a yield simulation.
