Middle of its segment, heavy for its output
The AIKO Neostar 3S+54 (AIKO-A-MCE54Db) is a glass-glass module in the 54-cell format, designed for maximum yield from limited rooftop space. Its key feature is the ABC (all-back-contact/xBC) technology - no metalization on the front, which improves light usage and maintains high efficiency even in less-than-ideal conditions. In practice, this means higher energy production per square meter, which is especially appreciated by investors who cannot "add more panels" due to small or shaded roofs.
The dual-glass construction increases resistance to micro-cracks and mechanical stress, while also stabilizing parameters over the long term. The Neostar 3S+54 is also a choice for those expecting a consistent installation appearance - the full black variants support the aesthetics of modern homes. The entire package is complemented by a long, premium warranty, reducing investment risk and improving profitability over several decades. This series was mainly created for roof installations - residential and small commercial, where every square meter and predictable yield matter.

Residential and commercial.
Weight-limited structures, roofs where every square metre has to count and tight roof space.
Bottom 2% of the Back Contact 450-500 W segment, against a median of 48.0. Ranked 7,102nd in the whole database.
Bottom 11% of the Back Contact 450-500 W segment, against a median of 235.2.
Bottom 13% of the Back Contact 450-500 W segment, against a median of 23.50%.
The All Back Contact (no front metallization) technology eliminates optical shading of the cells, achieving an efficiency of 23–24.3% – comparable to the Gokin GK-5-54HG (24.3%), but with an advantage over the ZNShine ZXM7-UHLD120 (22.47%). AIKO has maintained the top position in the TaiyangNews ranking for 34 consecutive months (as of the end of 2025).
At a typical operating temperature of 60°C, the panel loses 9.1% of its power compared to STC – approximately 10% fewer losses than standard PERC modules (-0.29%/°C). In the typical Polish summer climate, this translates to a significantly higher power output during peak hours.
The manufacturer guarantees a degradation rate of ≤1% in the first year and ≤0.35%/year in subsequent years for 30 years – a longer and lower degradation rate than standard 25-year Tier 1 contracts (e.g., JA Solar, Longi: ~0.40%/year). The product warranty is 25 years.
The glass-to-glass (2x2.0mm tempered glass with a protective coating) construction provides IEC Class A fire resistance – a higher standard than typical glass-backsheet modules (Class C), which is a requirement when installing on roofs near other structures or when required by insurers.
AIKO is listed on BNEF's Tier-1 bankable manufacturers list, which facilitates the acquisition of bank financing and leasing for commercial installations. The company has been operating since 2009 and has its own in-house production of ABC cells, which reduces supply chain risks.
ABC/BC modules are typically priced 10–15% higher than comparable, similarly-powered N-type TOPCon modules (e.g., Longi Hi-MO 9, JA Solar DeepBlue 4.0 Pro) with approximately 485 Wp power output. For a typical 10 kWp residential installation, this difference amounts to around 800–1200 zł, which extends the payback period by approximately 0.3–0.5 years, given current energy prices.
The dual-glass construction results in a weight of approximately 24.5 kg per module, which is about 3-4 kg more than typical glass-backsheet modules of similar power. For installations ≥10 kWp (20+ modules), it is necessary to verify the roof's load-bearing capacity, and this may involve additional costs for reinforcement or the selection of lighter mounting systems.
- Efficiency of 23.0% matches the Back Contact 450-500W median
- 230.2 W/m² power density is 5.0 W/m² below Back Contact 450-500W median (235.2 W/m²) - requires larger installation area
- At -0.26%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for Back Contact 450-500W panels
- At 24.5 kg, weight matches the Back Contact 450-500W median
- Ranked #1919 out of 14005 panels for efficiency in the database
