Middle of its segment, needs the roof space
AE Solar Terra V panels redefine efficiency standards through the use of advanced shingled technology, which completely eliminates traditional busbar connections between cells. This solution allows for maximum utilization of the module's active surface, which directly translates into higher energy yields from every square meter of the roof. This series effectively solves the problem of power losses resulting from partial shading - thanks to the parallel connection of densely packed silicon strips, the module maintains high efficiency in situations where standard panels drastically lose their performance. Innovative cell architecture ensures exceptional resistance to micro-cracks and mechanical stress, guaranteeing stable and trouble-free system operation for many years. It is a solution dedicated primarily to demanding homeowners and commercial property owners for whom the priority is the combination of durability and impeccable aesthetics. An elegant appearance and uniform surface structure make the product fit perfectly into modern architectural trends. What distinguishes the Terra V series from the competition is the minimized risk of hotspots and excellent performance parameters at high temperatures, allowing for the maintenance of maximum energy yields even during the hottest summer days, significantly increasing the profitability of the entire investment.

AE Solar is the only European manufacturer with a Tier 1 status recognized by BloombergNEF (confirmed for the 16th time in Q1 2025), and its bankability ratio has increased from 26% (2023) to 50% (2024). This translates to significantly lower project financing risk and greater stability throughout the 30-year operational lifespan.
The manufacturer offers a full 30-year warranty, both for the product and for its power output - which significantly exceeds the industry standard offered by comparable companies (Emmvee and ZNShine typically offer 10-12 years of product warranty and 25 years of power warranty). This represents a real reduction in risk for the investor over a 3-decade period.
The twin sub-string configuration (two sub-strings running in parallel, then in series) reduces power losses when shading the lower row to 36% compared to 50% for typical half-cut modules and ~100% for full-cell modules. This is a significant advantage in installations with obstructions (e.g., chimney, antenna, tree).
The half-cell architecture in the twin sub-string configuration separates mechanical stresses, reducing the probability of cell cracking by 75% compared to standard modules. This translates to a more stable degradation curve over a longer period, particularly under heavy snow and wind loads.
Moving the junction boxes and cables to the module's side edges eliminates the shading of the rear surface, maximizing bifacial gain (bifaciality factor of 80±5%). AE Solar claims up to 10% additional gain from the rear side compared to standard monofacial modules, with a 3.3% increase in energy generation.
The maximum efficiency of the Terra V series is 21.36%, while direct comparable products - Emmvee Titanium Duo/Clear (22.45%) and ZNShine ZXM7-UHLD144 (22.44%) - achieve approximately 1.1% higher efficiency. When installing a 10 kWp system (~50 m²), this difference translates to a real reduction of approximately 55-80 kWh in annual energy production, which, at an energy price of 0.85 zł/kWh, results in approximately 50-70 zł/year less in revenue.
The module is primarily designed for vertical installations (AgriPV, solar fencing, acoustic screens). For a typical pitched roof prosumer installation (30-35°), both the bifacial potential and the advantage of twin sub-string technology in the presence of side shading (not from below) are only partially utilized, which reduces the justification for premium technological features.
- Module efficiency of 20.6% is 1.8pp below average for TOPCon 550-600W panels (median: 22.4%)
- 206.2 W/m² power density is 18.2 W/m² below TOPCon 550-600W median (224.4 W/m²) - requires larger installation area
- At -0.29%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for TOPCon 550-600W panels
- At 29.5 kg, this panel is 1.7 kg lighter than TOPCon 550-600W median (31.2 kg) - easier handling during installation
- 80% bifaciality enables rear-side power generation, boosting yield by 4-12% on reflective surfaces
