The Suntech Ultra V Pro series was designed with the goal of maximizing energy yield in real-world operating conditions - not just in the laboratory. Its foundation consists of N-type TOPCon cells, which help minimize typical power losses associated with degradation during the initial months of operation and support stable production for years. In practice, this translates to better predictability of investment profitability and greater peace of mind for the user.

Bifacial construction is available in many variants, enabling the module to actively utilize reflected light from the ground surface - providing additional gains where every percentage point counts (e.g., light roofs, ground-mounted installations, carports). The Ultra V Pro series also features dual glass in selected versions, enhancing resistance to demanding environments (moisture, salt, ammonia) and facilitating parameter maintenance over time.

This series is suitable for residential and C&I installations, as well as for utility-scale PV farms, where a low temperature coefficient and energy cost throughout the project lifecycle are crucial.

About the Ultra V Pro series

6 answered

These answers cover the whole series. Where a figure differs, the specification above is this module's own.

What is the maximum power output of the Suntech Ultra V Pro panel?
The most powerful variants of the Ultra V Pro series reach up to 605 Wp. This is achieved through N-type TOPCon cells, which offer higher efficiency than conventional PERC technology. As a result, fewer modules are needed to cover the same roof area, lowering installation costs and simplifying system design for both residential and C&I projects.
Is the Suntech Ultra V Pro panel bifacial?
This Ultra V Pro variant with TOPCon cells has a monofacial construction, generating power only from the front side of the module. Suntech does offer bifacial versions within the broader Ultra V Pro family, featuring dual-glass construction - worth checking when selecting a specific model if extra yield from reflected light is a priority.
What warranty comes with Suntech Ultra V Pro panels?
The Ultra V Pro series carries a 12-year product warranty along with a 30-year linear power output warranty. This means the manufacturer guarantees a minimum level of energy production over three decades, providing predictable ROI and financial stability for the solar project.
How does TOPCon technology in Ultra V Pro differ from standard PERC panels?
The N-type TOPCon cells used in Ultra V Pro have a lower first-year degradation rate and smaller power losses in subsequent years compared to typical P-type PERC cells. In practice, the panel maintains higher efficiency for longer, resulting in greater cumulative energy yield over the system's lifetime.
Is Suntech a reliable and bankable panel manufacturer?
Suntech is a Chinese manufacturer with a long track record in the industry, classified as a Tier 1 supplier, which indicates financial stability and bankability for projects using its modules. This status makes it easier to secure financing and insurance, and provides greater confidence in future warranty servicing.
Do Ultra V Pro panels perform well in high summer temperatures?
Yes, one of the advantages of the TOPCon cells used in Ultra V Pro is a low temperature coefficient of power. This means a smaller performance drop during heat waves compared to older technologies, which matters when designing PV farms and rooftop installations in high-irradiance regions with hot summers.
