The Tongwei TW400-420MAP M10-108-H-F module series is an advanced Full-black solution that combines top-tier aesthetics with modern silicon cell technology. Thanks to the use of a Half-cell (half-cut cells) design, these panels perform significantly better in partial shading conditions, which is crucial for the complex roofs of single-family homes in Poland. The use of MBB (Multi Busbar) technology allows for a significant shortening of the current flow path, which effectively reduces internal resistance and minimizes the risk of harmful micro-cracks in the module structure. This is an ideal choice for investors who do not want to choose between an elegant, completely black appearance and high energy efficiency. The precise M10 wafer format optimizes power density, allowing the installation to take up less space while generating stable yields even on hot days. They are distinguished from the competition by exceptional quality control resulting from the full vertical integration of the production process, which translates into low LID degradation and high resistance to extreme mechanical loads such as snow or wind. By choosing these modules, the user gains a durable and safe system that maintains its parameters for decades, while serving as a visual decoration for a modern building. All structural components have been designed to maximize the lifespan of the installation while maintaining an excellent price-to-quality ratio.

About the MBB Half-cell Monofacial Full-black Module (54) TW400~420MAP M10-108-H-F series

6 answered

These answers cover the whole series. Where a figure differs, the specification above is this module's own.

Is the Tongwei TW400-420MAP M10-108-H-F series still available for purchase?
No, this series has been discontinued from Tongwei's current production lineup and replaced by newer TOPCon-based modules with higher efficiency. Panels may still be available from distributors as remaining stock, but once inventory runs out, matching modules for expanding an existing array will no longer be obtainable, so it's best to order the full required capacity upfront.
What warranty comes with the Tongwei TW400-420MAP panels and what does it cover?
The manufacturer provides a 15-year product warranty covering material and workmanship defects, plus a 25-year linear power output warranty. This means the module is guaranteed to still deliver a specified percentage of its original rated power after 25 years, a standard benchmark among Tier 1 manufacturers like Tongwei.
Does the half-cell design help with partial roof shading?
Yes, half-cut cells reduce power loss when part of the module is shaded by a chimney, antenna, or neighboring building. Current flows through independent paths in the top and bottom halves of the panel, so shading one section doesn't take the entire module offline, which is especially valuable on complex residential roofs in Poland.
What does MBB (Multi Busbar) technology offer compared to standard 5-busbar panels?
MBB increases the number of thin current-carrying paths on the cell, shortening the electron flow distance, lowering internal resistance, and reducing energy losses. It also spreads mechanical stress across more connection points, lowering the risk of microcracks during transport, installation, or snow loading, resulting in higher and more stable panel output.
Are the TW400-420MAP panels bifacial modules?
No, the TW400-420MAP series is a monofacial module built with PERC cell technology, generating power only from its front surface. This design suits typical roof-mounted installations where there's no access to reflected light from the ground, unlike ground-mounted systems where bifacial panels would be the better choice.
Why is the Full-black finish more expensive, and is it worth the extra cost?
The Full-black version uses a black frame and black backsheet instead of the standard white background, giving the array a uniform, sleek look without exposing white gaps between cells. The price premium comes from more expensive components, but it's justified for many buyers, especially on roofs visible from the street, where aesthetics genuinely affect property value.
