Strong in heat, no clear weak spot
TEG Solar Tiles is a series of photovoltaic roof tiles that effectively replace traditional roofing - instead of installing panels on an existing roof, you create an aesthetically pleasing, seamlessly integrated building surface that generates energy. The biggest difference compared to classic installations is BIPV integration, making it easier to maintain architectural coherence, especially with new construction and public buildings.
In practice, the series addresses typical investor concerns: worries about appearance, risk of leakage, and cumbersome installation. Weather-resistant construction (including solutions against water, wind, and fire) and a ventilated design, which supports the roof's stable operation, have been implemented. Installation is facilitated by the modular snap-lock structure, speeding up roofing work and servicing.
For investors focused on yield and longevity, it is important to note that the roof tiles utilize high-efficiency cells and are designed for low degradation. This solution is ideal for residential, multi-functional buildings, and roofs where appearance matters without compromising energy production.
Ranking
Signals from the data
BIPV, residential and commercial.
Top 8% of the 0-190 W band, against a median of -0.370. Ranked 2,165th in the whole database.
- Module efficiency of 15.2% is 0.8pp below average for TOPCon 0-400W panels (median: 16.0%)
- At 151.5 W/m², this panel generates 8.3 W/m² less per unit area than TOPCon 0-400W median (159.8 W/m²)
- At -0.29%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for TOPCon 0-400W panels
- Weight of 7.7 kg (15.8 kg below TOPCon 0-400W median of 23.5 kg) allows easier transport and roof mounting
- In the top 98% for efficiency among all TOPCon panels
