Middle of its segment, weak in heat
The Sunlike Solar SERIES 5 has been designed to maximize energy yield under real-world operating conditions, even when the roof is not perfectly sunlit or the installation operates at varying temperatures. The use of N-type cells in the TOPCon technology reduces typical power losses over time and improves production stability, which translates into more predictable benefits for both consumers and businesses. The modules utilize a half-cut architecture and multi-busbar connections, allowing them to better handle partial shading and microcracks, while also distributing the current more evenly.
Bifacial variants further allow for the utilization of reflected light from the ground, which is particularly beneficial on bright roofs, ground-mounted structures, and carport installations. SERIES 5 is suitable for both residential and commercial applications, where high power density, durability, and aesthetics (e.g., full black versions) are important. Compared to many panels based on older P-type cells, this series focuses on higher resistance to degradation and more stable performance over the years.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Residential, commercial, utility-scale and shaded-installations.
Hot climates, weight-limited structures and tight roof space.
Bottom 5% of the 395-595 W band, against a median of -0.300. Ranked 12,345th in the whole database.
Bottom 14% of the 395-595 W band, against a median of 52.5.
Bottom 20% of the 395-595 W band, against a median of 21.79%.
- Module efficiency of 20.8% is 1.1pp below average for database panels (median: 21.8%)
- 207.7 W/m² power density is 10.4 W/m² below database median (218.1 W/m²) - requires larger installation area
- Temperature coefficient of -0.36%/°C is 0.06pp worse than database median (-0.30%/°C) - higher losses in summer heat
- At 28.5 kg (2.0 kg above database median of 26.5 kg), requires checking roof load capacity
- Bifaciality factor of 100% can add 5-15% extra yield with reflective mounting surface
