Space saver, heavy for its output
The TRION series consists of PVolution solar modules built on heterojunction (HJT) technology using N-type half-cut cells, designed for investors who expect maximum output from limited roof space. The combination of monocrystalline silicon with an amorphous layer delivers high power density together with a low temperature coefficient, so the panels maintain stable energy production even on hot days. A key advantage of the series is its bifacial design (bifaciality up to 95%), which captures additional energy from reflected light hitting the rear side of the module - a feature especially valuable for installations on light-colored roofs and ground-mounted systems. The construction also stands out for its very low power degradation, resulting in an exceptionally gentle output decline curve over years of operation. The modules are engineered in Germany and backed by a 30-year product warranty and linear power warranty, making them an attractive choice for bank-financed projects. High resistance to snow and wind loads, combined with a sturdy anodized aluminum frame, make the TRION series well suited for both residential and commercial installations where durability and predictable return on investment matter most.

Weight-limited structures and hot climates.
Top 15% of the HJT 450-500 W segment, against a median of 227.7.
Top 16% of the HJT 450-500 W segment, against a median of 22.77%.
Bottom 5% of the HJT 450-500 W segment, against a median of 49.3. Ranked 9,524th in the whole database.
Bottom 22% of the HJT 450-500 W segment, against a median of -0.240.
The TRION series' peak efficiency (23.52%) exceeds comparable N-type modules on the market, such as Trina Vertex N (23.2%), DMEGC DMxxxG12T-B66HSW (23.2%), and Luxor Eco Line HJT (23.39%), at the same 720 Wp power class.
The combination of monocrystalline silicon with an amorphous layer delivers a low temperature coefficient and reduced LID degradation compared to older PERC cells, resulting in more stable energy output on hot days and higher annual yield.
The manufacturer declares approximately 88% of nominal power retained after 30 years, whereas typical PERC modules with 25-year warranties usually guarantee only around 80-84.8% power retention over that period - a meaningful advantage for bank-financed projects.
A high bifaciality factor enables additional energy gains from reflected light of several to double-digit percentage points, particularly valuable for ground-mount systems and roofs covered with light-colored materials (e.g., gravel, white membrane).
The anodized aluminum frame and German engineering translate into high declared resistance to snow and wind loads, relevant for both residential and commercial installations.
Unlike Trina Solar and DMEGC, PVolution does not appear on the BloombergNEF Tier-1 manufacturer list, meaning a shorter bankability track record and less experience among financing institutions in assessing long-term risk for this series.
The glass-glass double-glass design typical of bifacial HJT modules is usually several kilograms heavier than modules with a standard backsheet, which can increase mounting structure requirements and transport costs for large-scale installations.
