Middle of its segment, modest efficiency
The MY Solar PLATI N-type HJT Bifacial (Dual-glass, frameless) series is designed for maximum energy yield in environments where stability and real-world environmental resistance are crucial. The use of N-type solar cells in HJT technology ensures excellent module performance at high temperatures and high parameter repeatability over a long period - this is particularly important in installations aimed at predictable returns.
A key advantage is the bifacial design, which allows for the utilization of reflected light from the ground, increasing production without expanding the surface area. The dual-glass module offers better resistance to moisture, temperature fluctuations, and mechanical loads compared to many standard panels with backsheets. Furthermore, the frameless design reduces the risk of dirt accumulation at the edges and facilitates maintenance, ensuring optimal efficiency.
This solution is particularly suitable for PV farms, carports, and commercial installations, where yield, durability, and reduced downtime are important factors.

N-type HJT cells feature a temperature coefficient of about -0.24 to -0.27%/°C versus roughly -0.35%/°C for standard silicon cells, alongside annual degradation of around 0.25%. This translates into higher and more stable energy yield in high-temperature conditions and over the module's long service life.
The module captures light reflected from the ground (albedo), potentially boosting output by 8-15% over monofacial panels on high-albedo surfaces. The dual-glass build is also less susceptible to moisture ingress and laminate degradation than standard backsheet panels.
The manufacturer offers 30 years of coverage on both the product and power output - a premium-tier level exceeding the typical 25/25 or 25/30-year standard offered by most N-type module manufacturers.
The absence of an aluminum frame reduces dirt and water buildup at the module edges and eliminates frame corrosion risk, making it easier to maintain high system efficiency over time.
The series was manufactured from 2020 to 2023 and has since been discontinued. This means limited availability of warranty service, replacement parts, and matching modules for future repairs or claims.
MY Solar is not included on Tier-1 bankable manufacturer lists, which can complicate securing bank financing or favorable insurance terms for larger projects - PV farms, carports, and commercial installations.
The series' maximum efficiency (22.1%) lags comparable N-type HJT/TOPCon modules at the same 480 W power class - Gamko's GKA96N-PRO reaches 24.02% and Sunket's SKT460~480M10-120D3 reaches 22.24%. This means lower yield per unit of roof or ground area.
- Efficiency of 21.9% is 0.9pp below the HJT 450-500W median (22.8%)
- At 220.4 W/m², this panel generates 7.3 W/m² less per unit area than HJT 450-500W median (227.7 W/m²)
- -0.26%/°C temperature coefficient - 0.02pp worse than HJT 450-500W median (-0.24%/°C), expect higher hot weather losses
- Bifacial design (95% factor) captures reflected light - adds 5-14% yield on ground-mount or white roof
- Ranked #6783 out of 14005 panels for efficiency in the database
