Middle of its segment, short guarantee
The Luxor Solar ECO LINE N-TYPE (Full Black) M108 410-430W series is designed to maximize energy production on a roof without compromising aesthetics. These are Full Black modules that seamlessly blend with modern architecture, while also utilizing N-type TOPCon technology - valued for their very low degradation and stable performance over a longer period. The glass-glass construction enhances resistance to weather and micro-cracks, effectively reducing the risk of energy production losses in subsequent years. Another advantage is bifacial operation, which allows the module to utilize reflected light from bright surfaces, increasing energy yield where standard panels lose potential. The M108 series is suitable for premium home installations, roofs with limited surface area, and projects where durability, safety, and a consistent appearance are key.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Residential and shaded-installations.
Owners who want a long output guarantee and hot climates.
Bottom 11% of the N-type 400-450 W segment, against a median of 30 yrs.
Bottom 25% of the N-type 400-450 W segment, against a median of -0.290.
Efficiency of 21.33-22.35% places the series at the top of the segment - above the Silfab Elite (21.9%) and clearly above the Boviet Gamma (19.8%), close to the EGing STAR Pro (22.02%). N-type TOPCon technology delivers lower LID/LeTID degradation than older PERC cells.
A double-glass design instead of a rear backsheet increases resistance to moisture, microcracks, and mechanical loads (snow, hail), meaningfully reducing the risk of power degradation over the module's service life.
The black frame and black backsheet (Full Black) blend discreetly with pitched-roof architecture, making the series an attractive choice in the premium residential segment where facade appearance matters.
108 half-cut cells on an area under 2 m2 deliver relatively high power (up to 430 Wp) on limited roof space, which is valuable for retrofits on smaller roof sections.
The 25-year linear power warranty aligns with premium N-type segment standards and gives investors predictable energy yield over the typical PV system payback period.
The series was manufactured between 2023 and 2024 and has already been phased out of the manufacturer's lineup. This means limited availability of replacement modules and potential difficulty with warranty servicing in future years, despite the warranty formally remaining in effect.
Luxor Solar does not appear on the BloombergNEF Tier 1 manufacturer list (as of 2024), unlike some premium-segment competitors (e.g., Silfab). This can complicate bank financing or insurance for installations requiring bankable modules.
The 15-year product warranty is shorter than many current N-type TOPCon modules on the market, where 25-30 years of product warranty is becoming the new premium standard (including newer variants within Luxor's own Eco Line).
- At 21.8% efficiency, this panel is on par with typical N-type 400-450W modules
- At 215.1 W/m², this panel generates 3.3 W/m² less per unit area than N-type 400-450W median (218.4 W/m²)
- At -0.30%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for N-type 400-450W panels
- #7048 for efficiency, #6152 for temperature performance out of 14129 panels
