Light for its output, weak in heat
The Leapton LP182*210-M-54-NH (Monofacial) series consists of modules based on N-type TOPCon cells in a 210R format with rectangular cells, designed to maximize the module surface area and minimize losses resulting from suboptimal packing. In practice, this translates to more energy from the same roof area or from a limited ground-mounted structure, without the need to add additional panels.
The use of a half-cut configuration helps to stabilize performance under partial shading and thermal loads, while the monofacial design facilitates compatibility with traditional pitched roofs, flat roofs, and commercial installations, where predictability is key. Compared to many competing series, it stands out due to its 210R format and low degradation over time, ensuring long-term high energy production. An additional advantage is the positive power tolerance, which reduces the risk of parameter drift in larger strings, as well as high environmental resistance with a sealed junction box, which is crucial in Polish weather conditions.

Residential, commercial and shaded-installations.
Hot climates.
Top 15% of the TOPCon 500-550 W segment, against a median of 52.4.
Bottom 20% of the TOPCon 500-550 W segment, against a median of -0.290.
Module efficiency reaches up to 22.93% (up to 510 Wp), matching the best N-type series on the market such as Sunlike SKT490~510M12-108D4 (22.93%) and clearly outperforming older constructions like the Trina Vertex Backsheet Monocrystalline module (21.2%).
Rectangular cells in 210R format make better use of module surface area and reduce losses from suboptimal packing, while the half-cut layout limits the impact of partial shading on energy yield.
The manufacturer provides a 30-year power warranty alongside a 25-year product warranty - 5 years longer than the standard 25-year power warranty offered by many tier-1 manufacturers, translating into a longer period of predictable energy production.
Leapton is listed on the BloombergNEF Tier-1 manufacturer list (Q1 2026), confirming manufacturer bankability and easing project financing through banking institutions - important for larger commercial installations.
A 0~+5W power tolerance eliminates the risk of panels being delivered below rated nominal power, reducing mismatch loss risk in longer strings within an installation.
Maximum efficiency of 22.93% is marginally lower than competing series JA Solar JAM60S40 LR (23.0% at the same 510 Wp power rating) - the gap is small, but among premium TOPCon peers it is the only one to achieve a higher figure.
- Efficiency of 22.9% matches the TOPCon 500-550W median
- At 229.3 W/m² power density, roof space requirements are typical for TOPCon 500-550W panels
- At -0.30%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for TOPCon 500-550W panels
- Weight of 23.7 kg (3.3 kg below TOPCon 500-550W median of 27.0 kg) allows easier transport and roof mounting
- Ranked #2342 out of 14005 panels for efficiency in the database
