The Jinko Solar JS-N-TOPCon series is designed for maximum stable energy production under real-world conditions, where not only the power specified in the catalog matters, but also the predictability of annual energy yield. The use of N-type TOPCon cells helps to minimize losses due to charge recombination, which translates into better performance even under weaker sunlight and higher temperatures. The module design utilizes multi-busbar technology, which improves current collection and enhances resistance to microcracks, which are important during transport and long-term operation. In practice, this series solves a common problem for investors - performance degradation over time - by focusing on high durability and low degradation. An additional advantage is the potential for dual-sided (bifacial) operation in installations where the surface reflects light. The JS-N-TOPCon series is suitable for homes, businesses, and commercial projects, especially where cost-effectiveness is important with limited roof or ground space.

What owners get
N-type TOPCon - ultra-low LID/LeTID degradation

N-type cells exhibit LID of only 0.26% (vs. 1.92% for PERC) and LeTID of 0.09% (vs. 1.17% for P-type), independently validated by TÜV NORD. A linear degradation rate of 0.4%/year ensures >90% initial power after 25 years, translating into a materially higher cumulative energy yield over the module's full service life.

#1 BNEF Bankability - 10th consecutive year

JinkoSolar is the only PV module manufacturer to achieve a 100% bankability score in the Bloomberg NEF 2025 report - for the tenth consecutive year. This provides the highest confidence in 25-year power warranty fulfillment, which is critical for bank- and fund-financed infrastructure projects.

Efficiency up to 22.45% - top of segment

Peak efficiency of 22.45% places the series at par with the best direct competitors: EGing PV STAR Pro (22.45%) and Emmvee Titanium Duo (22.45%), and above ZNShine ZXM7-UHLD144 (22.44%). On the same roof area, this enables higher installed capacity compared to average PERC modules rated at 20-21%.

Low temperature coefficient of -0.30%/°C

TOPCon technology delivers a temperature coefficient of -0.30%/°C versus a typical -0.35%/°C for PERC modules. On a rooftop heated to 65°C (ΔT=40°C), this translates to approximately 2% higher instantaneous output compared to P-type predecessors - a meaningful gain aggregated over warm-season generation.

Multi-busbar technology - microcrack resistance

Multi-busbar (MBB) cell interconnection shortens current paths, reduces resistive losses, and improves resistance to microcracks caused by mechanical stress during shipping and thermal cycling over years of operation. This supports sustained reliability throughout the full 25-year warranty period.

Trade-offs
Monofacial-only configuration

The JS-N-TOPCon series is not available in a bifacial variant, whereas the directly comparable Emmvee Titanium Duo (bifacial glass-glass, 580 Wp, 22.45%) captures an additional 5-30% energy from albedo in ground-mount or light-membrane roof installations. In such sites, foregoing the bifacial gain represents a measurable reduction in annual energy yield at equivalent cell efficiency.

About the JS-N-TOPCon Series series

6 answered

These answers cover the whole series. Where a figure differs, the specification above is this module's own.

What is the power warranty on Jinko Solar JS-N-TOPCon panels and how fast do they degrade?
The JS-N-TOPCon series comes with a 25-year linear power output warranty, guaranteeing a minimum yield throughout the entire period. Thanks to N-type TOPCon cells, annual degradation is only about 0.4% after the first year (first-year degradation approx. 1%), well below older PERC modules at ~0.55%/year. In real-world terms, this translates into meaningfully higher energy revenues over a 20-25 year system lifetime.
How does TOPCon technology differ from PERC, and why does the JS-N-TOPCon series offer higher efficiency?
PERC cells use a rear passivation layer to reduce charge recombination. TOPCon takes this further by adding an ultra-thin tunnel oxide layer and doped polysilicon on the rear side, drastically cutting recombination losses. In practice, JS-N-TOPCon modules exceed 22% efficiency, produce more energy under low irradiance, and handle elevated temperatures better - the temperature coefficient is approximately -0.29%/°C versus ~-0.35%/°C for a typical PERC module.
Are Jinko Solar JS-N-TOPCon 580 W panels a good fit for a small roof with limited space?
Yes - that is one of the key strengths of this series. With up to 580 W per module, you can reach your target system capacity with fewer panels, which is critical when roof space is limited or partially shaded. Fewer modules also mean lower balance-of-system (BoS) costs for mounting hardware and wiring. The series suits residential installations from 5-10 kW as well as larger commercial projects.
How do JS-N-TOPCon panels perform in winter and under the overcast conditions typical of Central Europe?
N-type TOPCon cells carry a lower temperature coefficient (-0.29%/°C) than standard PERC modules, which limits summer losses but also improves cold-weather output. More relevant for cloudy climates is the series' enhanced low-irradiance performance, which boosts energy harvest on overcast days. In annual yield simulations, this advantage over older technologies can be significant in regions with a high share of diffuse radiation.
Is the Jinko Solar JS-N-TOPCon series a bifacial module?
No. In this configuration, the JS-N-TOPCon is a monofacial module that generates power from the front surface only. It therefore requires no reflective ground surface or elevated racking to capture rear-side irradiance. This simplifies installation and system design on typical tiled or metal roofs, where any bifacial gain would in any case be negligible.
Is Jinko Solar a reliable manufacturer, and is the JS-N-TOPCon series still available?
Jinko Solar holds Bloomberg NEF Tier 1 status, has been in the market for over 15 years, and consistently ranks among the top global PV module suppliers by shipment volume and quality. The JS-N-TOPCon series is active and currently available for purchase. As a Tier 1 manufacturer, Jinko provides the financial stability necessary to back a 25-year power output warranty - an important consideration when evaluating long-term investment risk.
