Light for its output, no clear weak spot
The Jinko Solar Tiger Neo 60HL4-(V) series is designed for high energy yield on limited rooftop space - with no compromises in terms of durability. The use of N-type (TOPCon) cells translates to more stable performance over time and reduced susceptibility to typical efficiency losses affecting standard modules. In practice, this means a more reliable yield over multiple seasons, even with intensive operation.
The attention-grabbing half-cell design minimizes internal losses and improves module performance under partial shading - crucial for rooftops with chimneys, skylights, or antenna installations. Furthermore, the anti-reflective glass coating supports better light utilization in cloudy conditions, common in Poland. The entire setup is complemented by a junction box with IP68 sealing class, enhancing resistance to moisture and dust.
This is an excellent choice for single-family homes, small businesses, and self-consumption installations, where maximizing yield per square meter and ensuring long-term, predictable performance are key priorities.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Residential, commercial and shaded-installations.
Top 4% of the TOPCon 500-550 W segment, against a median of 52.4. Ranked 574th in the whole database.
Top 19% of the TOPCon 500-550 W segment, against a median of 22.74%.
Top 21% of the TOPCon 500-550 W segment, against a median of 227.4.
TOPCon cells deliver an annual power degradation of just 0.40% (per JKM475-500N-60HL4-V-F8-EU datasheet), outperforming typical PERC modules (~0.55%/yr). After 30 years the manufacturer guarantees ≥87.4% of rated power - translating to meaningfully higher cumulative energy yield over the system lifetime.
Peak module efficiency of 23.17% exceeds all but one peer comparable: Emmvee GRAPHITE (21.03%) and Lina Energy LEPV 132 HC ICON PLUS (21.06%) trail by more than 2 percentage points. This allows a smaller roof area to achieve the same system nameplate capacity.
Linear power output warranty spanning 30 years with a guaranteed floor of ≥87.4% at end of term, backed by a 12-year product warranty. Provides long-term LCOE predictability for prosumer and C&I installations.
JinkoSolar is the only manufacturer globally to achieve 100% bankability rating in the Bloomberg NEF 2025 survey - its 10th consecutive year at the top. Tier-1 BNEF status confirms project finance eligibility and substantially reduces manufacturer insolvency risk within the warranty horizon.
Half-cut cell architecture reduces resistive losses and limits the impact of partial shading (chimneys, dormers, antennas) on string output. The IP68-rated junction box provides full dust- and submersion-proof protection, relevant for Central European winter conditions with freeze-thaw cycles and snowmelt.
The Tiger Neo 60HL4-(V) series ended production in 2024 (released 2021, end-of-life 2024). This limits availability of new modules for system expansions, increases the risk of reduced spare parts support (bypass diodes, junction boxes), and may shorten effective after-sales service coverage compared to currently active product lines.
The series has no bifacial variant (is_bifacial: false), whereas current-generation premium competitors offer bifacial options that capture an additional 5-15% energy from ground/roof albedo. This is primarily a limitation for ground-mount or flat-roof installations where bifacial yield meaningfully lowers LCOE.
While 23.17% ranks above most peers, newer-generation modules such as the Gokin GK-3-54HGF reach 24.5% - a gap of 1.33 pp, equivalent to roughly 6% more power per unit area. On highly constrained roof surfaces this difference becomes a meaningful sizing constraint.
- At 23.2% efficiency, this panel is on par with typical TOPCon 500-550W modules
- At 231.3 W/m² power density, this panel generates 3.9 W/m² more per unit area than TOPCon 500-550W median (227.4 W/m²)
- Temperature coefficient of -0.29%/°C matches the TOPCon 500-550W median
- At 22.5 kg, this panel is 4.5 kg lighter than TOPCon 500-550W median (27.0 kg) - easier handling during installation
- Ranked #1518 out of 14129 panels for efficiency in the database
