Middle of its segment, heavy for its output
The DualSun FLASH series is a new generation of photovoltaic panels that combine advanced cell technology with exceptional structural durability. The use of TOPCon half-cut cells - an evolution of the classic PERC technology - significantly reduces energy losses at metallic contacts and on the silicon surface, resulting in higher performance even in partially shaded conditions. The glass-glass design with double-sided glass and POE encapsulation provide robust protection against moisture, which is particularly important for sensitive TOPCon cells. Thanks to bifaciality, the panel can generate up to 10% more energy by absorbing reflected radiation from the ground - an ideal solution for ground-mounted and roof-mounted installations with reflective surfaces. A key feature of the series is low carbon footprint, confirmed by the PEP certificate and the use of low-emission silicon, making FLASH a response to the growing environmental demands of institutional investors and companies subject to ESG reporting. The 30-year linear warranty makes the series suitable for both prosumer and larger commercial installations.

Signals from the data
Residential, commercial and shaded-installations.
Weight-limited structures and hot climates.
Bottom 6% of the TOPCon 400-450 W segment, against a median of 51.4. Ranked 11,999th in the whole database.
Bottom 10% of the TOPCon 400-450 W segment, against a median of -0.290.
The module achieves 21.8% efficiency, outperforming all direct competitors in the comparison: Hyundai DG G12 PERC Shingled (21.4%), Tongwei TERRA 5K (21.4%), and Trina Solar Vertex S (21.3%). Given the same roof area, the FLASH 425 will generate measurably more energy.
N-type TOPCon half-cut cells exhibit a lower LID (Light-Induced Degradation) rate and a superior temperature coefficient of power compared to the PERC cells used by Hyundai in the DG G12 series. This translates into higher annual energy yield, particularly during summer months and in hot climates.
DualSun guarantees ≥87.4% of rated power output after 30 years (25-year product warranty + 5-year extended warranty). Trina Solar Vertex S and Hyundai DG G12 offer a standard 25-year power warranty, giving the FLASH a tangible financial advantage in long-payback-horizon projects such as commercial installations and ground-lease developments.
The panel emits 20–22 g CO₂eq/kWh over its full life cycle, placing it among the top performers on the market (typical modules: 20–30 g). CERTISOLIS certification (carbon footprint <550 kg CO₂eq/kWp) and PEP Ecopassport enable the installation to be included in ESG reporting and to meet EU green public procurement requirements. The use of low-carbon silicon reduces the carbon footprint by 17% vs. modules without this optimization.
The glass-glass design with POE encapsulation ensures superior moisture impermeability—critical for moisture-sensitive N-type cells—and enhanced mechanical resistance. The bifacial configuration offers a potential +10% energy gain from albedo on high-reflectivity surfaces (snow, gravel, light-colored membranes), as documented in the manufacturer's official datasheet.
The dual-glass construction (2+2 mm) raises the module weight to 23.6 kg, whereas comparable glass-backsheet modules (e.g., Trina Vertex S) weigh approximately 19–21 kg. This necessitates a structural load-bearing assessment of the roof and may increase installation time, particularly on steep-pitch roofs or in hard-to-access locations.
- At 21.8% efficiency, this panel is on par with typical TOPCon 400-450W modules
- At 217.6 W/m² power density, roof space requirements are typical for TOPCon 400-450W panels
- Temperature coefficient of -0.31%/°C is 0.02pp worse than TOPCon 400-450W median (-0.29%/°C) - higher losses in summer heat
- At 25.1 kg, this panel is 3.1 kg heavier than the TOPCon 400-450W median (22.0 kg) - more demanding for installation crews
- Bifacial design (80% factor) captures reflected light - adds 4-12% yield on ground-mount or white roof
