Space saver, heavy for its output
The HNM7-UHLDD108 series consists of advanced photovoltaic modules built on N-TYPE monocrystalline cell technology with a bifacial construction and dual glass. Thanks to the 16BB SMBB architecture with half-cut cells (Half-Cell), the panels minimize resistive losses and increase energy yield even under partial shading. The bifacial design allows the modules to absorb radiation reflected from the ground, delivering up to 25% additional power gain from the rear side - depending on ground albedo. Enhanced low-irradiance response allows the modules to operate efficiently under cloud cover, morning fog, and diffuse light conditions, which is particularly relevant in the Polish climate. The series features built-in PID protection as well as resistance to extreme environmental conditions - salt, ammonia, sand, high temperature, and humidity. The dual glass with an anti-reflective (AR) coating ensures long-term durability of the installation. The entire series is backed by a 30-year linear power output warranty, making these panels a solid choice for both residential investments and demanding commercial installations focused on maximum return on investment.

Residential, commercial and shaded-installations.
Weight-limited structures and hot climates.
Top 17% of the N-type 400-450 W segment, against a median of 218.3.
Top 24% of the N-type 400-450 W segment, against a median of 21.91%.
Bottom 15% of the N-type 400-450 W segment, against a median of 51.2.

N-type cells deliver ~0.4%/year degradation vs. ~0.7%/year for PERC technology, are free of LID, and achieve a superior temperature coefficient (~-0.30%/°C Pmax). The 16BB SMBB architecture with 108 half-cut cells reduces resistive losses and improves partial-shading tolerance.
Dual-side energy harvest delivers up to 25% additional rear-side power gain (at 20–40% ground albedo), while the dual tempered glass construction with AR coating eliminates backsheet delamination risk and provides superior mechanical strength compared to standard glass-backsheet modules.
Hounen guarantees ≥87.4% of rated output after 30 years, equivalent to ~0.40%/year degradation. The industry standard is 25 years (JA Solar, Trina Solar, LONGi), making this 30-year warranty a genuine LCOE advantage for long-horizon investments.
The highest-power variant reaches 22.53% module efficiency, matching the Seraphim Nebula series peak (22.53%) and exceeding KDM Kingdom Solar KDM Series (22.50%) within the same sub-440 Wp N-type 108-cell segment. This places the series in the upper quartile of residential-scale module efficiency.
The manufacturer includes full PID resistance and certifications covering salt mist, ammonia, and sand abrasion (typically per IEC 61701, IEC 62716, IEC 60068-2-68), making the series suitable for agri-PV installations and coastal environments.
Hounen Solar does not appear on the BloombergNEF Tier 1 Solar Module Manufacturers list (Q1 2026), which most banks require for non-recourse financing of commercial projects above 1 MWp. For residential prosumer installations this is irrelevant, but for C&I and utility-scale segments the absence of bankability status may complicate project financing.
The equipment defect warranty covers only 12 years, while premium manufacturers (REC Group, Panasonic, SunPower, Silfab) offer 25-year product warranties and a growing share of mid-tier producers now provide 15 years. A 12-year term is the lower boundary of current market norms and may be a risk factor when reselling installations in a 15–20-year horizon.
The series peaks at 22.53% efficiency, which is 0.33 percentage points below Luxor Solar ECO LINE N-TYPE TOPCON NON-REFLECT (22.86%) at the same maximum power of 440 Wp. On a 30 m² rooftop, this gap translates to roughly 2–3 Wp of lost output per module compared to the highest-efficiency direct peer.
- At 22.3% efficiency, this panel is on par with typical N-type 400-450W modules
- 222.8 W/m² power density - 4.5 W/m² more than N-type 400-450W median (218.3 W/m²), more power per roof area
- At -0.30%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for N-type 400-450W panels
- At 24.5 kg (2.5 kg above N-type 400-450W median of 22.0 kg), requires checking roof load capacity
- 80% bifaciality enables rear-side power generation, boosting yield by 4-12% on reflective surfaces
