The ZEUS 1.1 Performance series is engineered for investors who expect maximum durability and stable energy yields over decades of operation. The panels feature N-Type TOPCon cells in a half-cut configuration, reducing resistive losses and improving performance under partial shading. The glass-glass construction combined with bifacial energy generation captures light reflected from the ground, boosting real-world yield without requiring any additional roof space. Thanks to strong resistance to PID, ammonia, and salt mist, the modules perform reliably in agricultural installations as well as in coastal locations, where aggressive environmental conditions quickly degrade cheaper alternatives. A reinforced frame and high snow and wind load tolerance make the ZEUS 1.1 Performance a solid choice for roofs exposed to demanding climate conditions. The entire series is backed by a 30-year product and performance warranty issued directly by the German manufacturer, translating into lower investment risk and a predictable LCOE throughout the system's service life.

What owners get
N-Type TOPCon half-cut cells

The N-Type TOPCon half-cut cell design reduces resistive losses and improves partial-shading performance; at 23% efficiency it matches top-tier peers such as the Risen RSM96-11-460 (23%).

Glass-glass bifacial construction

The dual-glass build (2x2mm) combined with bifacial energy harvesting captures ground-reflected irradiance, boosting real-world yield without requiring extra roof area.

30-year product and power warranty

Heckert Solar provides a 30-year warranty on both product and power directly as the German manufacturer, longer than the standard 25 years offered by many Tier-1 competitors, materially lowering investment risk.

PID, ammonia and salt-mist resistance

Enhanced environmental resistance makes the module suitable for agricultural installations (barns, farms) and coastal locations, where aggressive conditions quickly degrade cheaper frame constructions.

Tier-1 manufacturer with 30+ years of history

Heckert Solar has operated since 1992 and manufactures in Germany, which combined with the local warranty reduces service-availability risk compared to less established peer brands like Zonergy or SunKean.

Trade-offs
Quickly superseded by 480Wp model

In November 2025 Heckert Solar unveiled a new TOPCon module rated up to 480Wp, suggesting the ZEUS 1.1 Performance 460Wp series may soon be succeeded by a higher-output model - worth considering for long-term series availability planning.

About the ZEUS 1.1 Performance series

6 answered

These answers cover the whole series. Where a figure differs, the specification above is this module's own.

How do the N-Type TOPCon cells in the ZEUS 1.1 Performance differ from classic PERC cells?
TOPCon cells have an additional passivation layer that reduces electron recombination at the cell surface. This gives the panel higher efficiency and a slower power degradation rate over time compared to cheaper PERC modules. In practice, this means higher energy yield from the same roof area and a slower drop in output over the years of operation.
Does the bifacial design of the ZEUS 1.1 Performance make sense on a typical pitched residential roof?
Bifacial gain works best on ground-mounted structures, carports, or flat roofs with clearance from the ground, where the rear side can capture reflected light. On a standard pitched roof mounted close to the surface, the extra rear-side gain will be minimal, but the panel still performs normally from the front side and can be installed in this configuration without issue.
What is the actual power output of the ZEUS 1.1 Performance panels, and how many are needed for a typical 10 kWp system?
Modules in the ZEUS 1.1 Performance series reach up to 460 Wp of maximum power. For a 10 kWp system, roughly 22 panels are needed, depending on available roof space and the specific power variant chosen from the manufacturer's lineup. It's best to confirm the exact panel count with an installer during system design.
Is the ZEUS 1.1 Performance suitable for installations near the coast or on agricultural buildings?
Yes, this is one of the series' main use cases. The panels offer enhanced resistance to salt mist and ammonia exposure, which quickly degrade cheaper modules. They perform well both on livestock building roofs and in installations located close to the coastline, where corrosion and salty air pose a real threat to module durability.
What warranty applies to the ZEUS 1.1 Performance modules, and who provides it?
The manufacturer, Germany's Heckert Solar, provides a 30-year product warranty and a 30-year power output warranty. This gives long-term coverage against manufacturing defects as well as a guaranteed energy production level, reducing investment risk and making it easier to forecast the return on a photovoltaic installation.
Does the glass-glass construction of the ZEUS 1.1 Performance affect panel weight and installation?
Glass-glass construction is typically somewhat heavier than standard modules with a polymer backsheet, which should be factored into mounting structure selection and roof load calculations. In return, the module gains higher mechanical strength, better cell protection against moisture and PID degradation, and a longer service life, which matters given the 30-year warranty period.
