Solid all-round for its segment
The Heckert Solar NEMO® 4.1 80 M series is designed to maximize energy yield from typical roof areas, without complicating the installation process. These are monocrystalline modules with an 80-cell configuration, which are better suited to local shading and minimize losses due to microcracks compared to traditional solutions. The use of an anti-reflective coating ensures stable performance under varying sunlight conditions, which is particularly important in the Polish climate, where sunlight can be diffuse. Another notable feature is the low power loss at high temperatures, which allows the module to maintain its efficiency on hot days, when many installations lose the most power. This series is a good choice for single-family homes, small businesses, and projects where predictable production and an aesthetically uniform surface are important. An additional advantage is the extended product warranty, which enhances investment security and differentiates this series from many budget-friendly panels.

Modules are manufactured at the Chemnitz facility — since April 2024 (following the closure of Meyer Burger's Freiberg plant), Heckert Solar is de facto the only active PV panel manufacturer with continuous production on German soil. This translates to a shorter supply chain, full component traceability, and zero exposure to import tariffs or trade sanctions.
The 19.8–20.5% efficiency range clearly outpaces the comparable DMEGC GH400M10T-B48HST module (15.48%) and matches or exceeds the Solaria PowerXT (20.2%). Only the Meyer Burger White (21.7%) delivers a meaningfully higher result, though it occupies a higher price tier.
The 80 half-cut cell layout reduces internal resistance and limits mismatch losses under partial shading to approximately 50% of those typical for full-size cells. This yields higher energy output under conditions common on Polish rooftops featuring chimneys, ventilation stacks, or flue outlets.
The Pmax temperature coefficient of −0.343%/°C sits at the lower bound of the typical PERC range (−0.34% to −0.37%/°C). At a module temperature of 70°C, this represents approximately 1.7% higher power output compared to a panel rated at −0.36%/°C — a meaningful advantage during hot Polish summers.
The standard 15-year product warranty exceeds the offering of many budget-segment Asian manufacturers (10–12 years). Heckert Solar has operated continuously since 1992 and, as the only active PV manufacturer in Germany, has held the Top Brand PV certification since 2015 — significantly reducing the risk of warranty abandonment.
PERC is a mature but increasingly displaced technology, being superseded by TOPCon and HJT n-type cells, which exhibit lower LID degradation rates and higher annual energy yield. Heckert Solar itself launched the TOPCon-based Apollon 1.0 series in 2024, suggesting a gradual phase-out of PERC within their roadmap — buyers planning installations with a 25+ year horizon should factor this in.
Heckert Solar does not appear on the Bloomberg NEF Tier-1 module manufacturer list, which may complicate access to bank financing or leasing arrangements for commercial projects and utility-scale PV farms, where financial institutions routinely require Tier-1 status as a module eligibility criterion.
- At 20.5% efficiency, this panel is on par with typical PERC 400-450W modules
- At 205.4 W/m² power density, roof space requirements are typical for PERC 400-450W panels
- Temperature coefficient of -0.34%/°C matches the PERC 400-450W median
- Weight of 21.0 kg is typical for PERC 400-450W panels
