Middle of its segment, weak in heat
The Heckert Solar NEMO 2.0 60 M BLACK series consists of monocrystalline modules designed for investors who expect both high quality workmanship and a consistent aesthetic. The BLACK version is characterized by a uniform, dark appearance, which makes it perfectly suitable for modern roofs and facades - without the effect of a random mosaic on the roof.
The use of half-cut technology helps to minimize losses in typical home installation scenarios, such as partial shading from chimneys, skylights, or trees. This translates into more stable energy production in real-world conditions, not just in a laboratory. Furthermore, the modules use anti-reflective glass, which supports efficient light utilization in variable sunlight conditions.
This series is a good choice for single-family homes and small businesses, where reliability over the years and a high standard of workmanship are important. The extended product warranty is also a key factor, especially when planning the operating costs of PV installations.

Heckert Solar has been operating since 1992 in Chemnitz, Germany, and has held the Top Brand PV designation awarded by EuPD Research continuously since 2015 — including every year from 2020 through 2024. For prosumer installations designed for a 25-year service life, this provides tangible assurance that the entity responsible for warranty obligations is both active and verifiable.
The BLACK variant combines black cells, a black frame, and a black backsheet, eliminating the visual patchwork effect characteristic of standard modules. This is a significant advantage for installations on highly visible roof surfaces and for projects subject to heritage or planning authority requirements, where a uniform appearance may be a formal condition of approval.
According to manufacturer data (pvXchange/ENF), the module withstands snow loads of up to 5,400 Pa and wind loads of up to 2,400 Pa, with the junction box rated IP68. These figures exceed the typical segment minimum of 4,000/2,400 Pa, contributing to greater long-term durability in Central European climatic conditions.
The manufacturer guarantees retention of minimum efficiency for 25 years — a standard market-compliant commitment that ensures predictable energy yield projections in PV investment financial models.
PERC cells in a half-cut configuration reduce the impact of partial shading — from chimneys, dormers, or trees — by electrically isolating each cell half. Under conditions typical of a Polish residential installation, this translates into more stable energy yield compared to conventional full-cell modules without PERC.
The NEMO 2.0 60 M BLACK was manufactured between 2017 and 2023 and is listed as discontinued. This limits the availability of new modules for potential system expansions and creates a risk of no identical replacements being obtainable in the event of a single panel failure after 2025–2026.
The maximum module efficiency of this series is 19.4%, while comparable wattage classes (up to 325 Wp) now achieve 19.9–19.98% (Haitai Solar N series G12, MY Solar M2 series). The ~0.5–0.6 percentage point gap translates into a larger roof area requirement to achieve the same installed capacity.
Heckert Solar provides a 15-year product warranty, whereas leading manufacturers — including Tier-1 brands compatible with SolarEdge systems — increasingly offer 25-year coverage. For systems planned for 25+ years of operation, this leaves the final decade of service life without any product warranty protection.
The series is monofacial (is_bifacial: false), whereas a direct competitor in the same power class — Haitai Solar N series G12 — offers a bifacial, dual-glass module at 19.9% efficiency. On installations with a light-colored substrate or a metal roof surface, bifacial modules can generate an additional 5–15% of energy from albedo reflection.
- Efficiency of 18.8% is 0.6pp below the PERC 0-400W median (19.4%)
- Power density of 187.5 W/m² is 6.9 W/m² below PERC 0-400W median (194.4 W/m²) - needs more roof space
- Temperature coefficient of -0.40%/°C is 0.04pp worse than PERC 0-400W median (-0.36%/°C) - higher losses in summer heat
- Weight of 18.3 kg (2.2 kg below PERC 0-400W median of 20.5 kg) allows easier transport and roof mounting
