Efficiency leader, no clear weak spot
The HY-NT10/54GDF series consists of bifacial N-type TOPCon photovoltaic modules engineered for maximum performance under all weather conditions. Through the use of SMBB technology combined with half-cut cell design, the panels minimize internal current losses and effectively limit the impact of microcracks on long-term efficiency - a real benefit for anyone expecting stable energy yields over many years of operation. The module's bifaciality enables energy harvesting from both the front and rear sides - under favorable conditions, for example above a bright ground surface or in ground-mounted installations, the effective power generated by the module is significantly higher than the nominal value. N-type technology ensures excellent performance under low-irradiance conditions and a low temperature coefficient, which is a particular advantage in the Polish climate with its high number of cloudy days. A dual-glass design, Anti-PID protection, and certified resistance to salt, ammonia, sand, and dust make these modules well suited to both residential installations and commercial photovoltaic farms in demanding environments. A 30-year linear power warranty with annual degradation below 0.4% ensures a high return on investment throughout the entire system life cycle.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Small roofs that need every watt and roofs where every square metre counts.
Top 9% of the TOPCon 450-500 W segment, against a median of 22.52%. Ranked 1,017th in the whole database.
Top 10% of the TOPCon 450-500 W segment, against a median of 225.2.
The module achieves 23.3% efficiency, outperforming direct 465 Wp peers: Jinko Solar JS182MHC120 (21.48%) by 1.82 percentage points and Vikram Solar SOMERA (20.91%) by 2.39 pp. On a 20 m² rooftop, this translates to roughly 300–400 kWh of additional annual generation compared to equivalent PERC-based alternatives.
The temperature coefficient of Pmax is –0.29%/°C, approximately 17% better than typical P-type PERC modules (–0.35%/°C). In real-world conditions where modules reach 50–70°C in summer, this yields measurably higher seasonal output; N-type cells also eliminate the initial LID degradation inherent to P-type silicon.
The manufacturer guarantees more than 87.4% of rated power after 30 years at an annual degradation rate below 0.4%. Most PERC competitors at this power class offer 25-year warranties with retention down to ~84.8% — a 5-year extension and 2.6 pp higher retained power output, which significantly improves LCOE calculations for commercial installations.
The bifacial dual-glass design enables rear-side energy harvest — under typical ground-mount conditions, effective yield increases by 10–20% above nominal STC power. Dual glass eliminates backsheet/EVA delamination risk and extends practical module lifetime well beyond the stated 30-year warranty period.
Modules carry certifications for salt mist (IEC 61701), ammonia (IEC 62716), sand, and dust resistance, making them suitable for residential rooftops and commercial utility farms in industrial or agricultural environments. Anti-PID technology minimizes potential-induced degradation losses in high-voltage string configurations (>1000 V DC).
The actual module manufacturer is Hongyuan Green Energy Co., Ltd. (HY Solar, China), which does not appear on the BNEF Tier-1 module list as of Q1 2026 — a list that includes LONGi, Jinko, Trina, JA Solar, and Canadian Solar. The absence of Tier-1 status may complicate project financing for utility-scale PV installations above 1 MWp where EPC and SPA agreements require modules from BNEF-recognized bankable manufacturers.
GL Solar Solutions srl is an Italian distributor (classified as a seller on ENF Solar), not a manufacturing entity. A 30-year product warranty issued by a trading company rather than the actual manufacturer creates legal execution risk over multi-decade horizons — in the event of ownership changes, insolvency, or restructuring of the distributor, enforcing warranty claims directly against the Chinese OEM becomes significantly more difficult.
- 23.3% module efficiency - 0.8pp better than the TOPCon 450-500W median of 22.5%
- 232.7 W/m² power density - 7.5 W/m² more than TOPCon 450-500W median (225.2 W/m²), more power per roof area
- At -0.29%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for TOPCon 450-500W panels
- Bifaciality factor of 80% can add 4-12% extra yield with reflective mounting surface
- #1017 for efficiency, #2165 for temperature performance out of 14005 panels
