The Solitek SOLID Solrif Terracotta Orange series is an innovative solution for investors who want to combine the aesthetics of a traditional roof with efficient solar power. The panels are designed as an integrated roof system - replacing traditional ceramic tiles, creating a uniform, orange surface indistinguishable from the original ceramic. This is a solution for buildings of historical significance and areas protected by conservation regulations, where standard solar installations are prohibited or undesirable. The specially selected glass color and anti-reflective coating make the roof look like matte ceramic - without the characteristic shine or metallic gloss. The tempered glass-to-glass construction provides resistance to hail, snow loads, and strong winds, while also meeting the highest fire safety standards - crucial for older, wooden roof structures. The modules can be mounted at angles from 12 to 70 degrees, offering significant design flexibility. It also features a 30-year performance guarantee, resulting from the durability of the glass-to-glass package. This is the ideal solution for architects, premium developers, and owners of historical buildings who do not want to compromise between aesthetics and renewable energy.

About the SOLID Solrif Terracotta Orange series

6 answered

These answers cover the whole series. Where a figure differs, the specification above is this module's own.

Can Solitek SOLID Solrif Terracotta Orange panels be installed on a heritage or conservation-protected building?
Yes, this series was designed specifically for listed buildings and protected areas. The specially tinted anti-reflective glass gives the modules a matte ceramic appearance with no metallic glare typical of conventional PV panels. They replace standard clay tiles and form a seamless orange roof surface that heritage authorities typically accept as a non-intrusive intervention.
What is the rated power output and cell technology of the Solitek SOLID Solrif Terracotta Orange series?
The series reaches a peak power of 285 Wp and uses N-type TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) cells. Compared to legacy PERC technology, TOPCon delivers higher efficiency and a lower power temperature coefficient (-0.30%/°C), meaning smaller output losses on hot days. The bifacial construction also enables additional energy harvest from reflected irradiance.
What roof pitch is compatible with the Solitek SOLID Solrif Terracotta Orange system?
The Solrif mounting system supports installation at roof pitches from 12° to 70°, covering virtually every conventional sloped roof - from low-pitch modern homes to steep historic structures. This wide range gives architects and installers significant design flexibility without aesthetic compromises.
What warranty is included with the Solitek SOLID Solrif Terracotta Orange panels?
SoliTek provides a 30-year product warranty and a 30-year power output warranty. This is backed by the glass-glass laminate construction - 3.2 mm tempered glass on both sides - which is significantly more durable than foil-back modules. It is among the longest warranties available in the BIPV segment.
Are Solitek SOLID Solrif Terracotta Orange panels resistant to hail and fire?
Yes. The glass-glass build achieves Class 5 hail resistance (the highest IEC rating) and Fire Class A, making them safe for installation on old timber roof structures. The modules are rated for mechanical loads up to 10.5 kPa, which covers extreme snow and wind conditions across Central Europe.
How does the Solitek SOLID Solrif Terracotta Orange series differ from conventional rooftop solar panels?
The key difference is full roof integration (BIPV) - Solrif modules replace tiles and serve as the primary watertight roof covering, eliminating the need for a separate roofing layer underneath. Conventional panels are mounted on top of existing roofing with racking hardware. The Terracotta Orange version adds a ceramic tile aesthetic that is impossible to achieve with standard aluminum-framed modules.
