The SOLID Satin Framed series is SoliTek's response to one of the most common challenges in photovoltaics - glare caused by reflected light, which can be a problem near roads, airports, railways, or dense urban areas. The key here is SoliTek's proprietary satin glass (SATIN) technology, which features a structured surface that reduces glare without any additional coatings or films - a solution integrated directly into the glass structure. The effect is immediate and lasts throughout the entire lifespan of the panel. The glass-to-glass bifacial design allows for energy generation from both sides of the module, increasing energy yield in conditions of scattered light. The black frame and aesthetically pleasing, matte surface make the panels seamlessly integrate into residential and commercial buildings, as well as in projects such as carports or covered terraces. The panel has DIBt certification, which confirms its suitability for special construction applications. For installers, the availability of two frame options - 35 mm and 40 mm - is important, providing flexibility in installation. This is a panel for demanding locations where aesthetics and the safety of the surrounding environment are just as important as energy efficiency.

Common questions

6 answered
How does the SATIN anti-glare glass technology in SoliTek SOLID Satin Framed panels work, and does it actually eliminate glare?
The SATIN technology uses a structured glass surface that diffuses reflected sunlight without any additional coatings or films. The anti-glare effect is built directly into the glass structure, so it does not wear off over time. It significantly reduces disruptive glare, as confirmed by the DIBt certificate — required for installations near roads, airports, and railway lines. The solution remains effective throughout the full 30-year panel lifespan.
What warranty comes with SoliTek SOLID Satin Framed panels and what does it cover?
The SOLID Satin Framed series includes a 30-year product warranty and a 30-year power output warranty. This means the manufacturer covers both material and structural defects as well as guaranteed power degradation limits for three decades. Such a long warranty horizon is made possible by the glass-glass construction, which eliminates moisture ingress risks associated with traditional backsheet designs.
Are SoliTek SOLID Satin Framed panels suitable for carport canopies or covered terraces?
Yes, this is one of the primary use cases for this series. The bifacial glass-glass construction allows energy harvesting from both sides — the rear side captures diffuse light reflected from ground surfaces or concrete, boosting total yield. The black frame and matte satin surface provide an aesthetically refined look that integrates well with architectural structures. The DIBt certificate confirms suitability for special building-integrated applications including covered structures.
What is the maximum power output and efficiency of the SoliTek SOLID Satin Framed 445W panel?
The panel achieves a maximum power output of 445 Wp with a module efficiency of approximately 21.76%. These figures are enabled by n-type TOPCon cells, which have a lower temperature coefficient and better high-temperature performance compared to older PERC technology. The maximum system voltage is 1,500 V, making it straightforward to design larger installations with longer strings and fewer MPPT inputs.
How does the SoliTek SOLID Satin Framed differ from a standard black bifacial panel, and who is it designed for?
The key differentiator is the proprietary SATIN glass that reduces light reflections — standard bifacial panels, even full-black ones, do not offer this feature. The SOLID Satin Framed targets installations in glare-sensitive locations: near roadways, airports, urban dense zones, and any site where local building codes or zoning regulations restrict solar reflections. The DIBt certificate is an additional requirement in many such applications.
What frame sizes are available for the SoliTek SOLID Satin Framed, and does the choice matter for installation?
The series is available in two frame depth variants: 35 mm and 40 mm. The choice depends on the mounting system used and the structural load requirements of the site. The 40 mm frame offers slightly higher mechanical resistance — snow load up to 10,500 Pa and wind load up to 4,500 Pa — which is relevant for exposed locations. Both variants are compatible with standard rail-and-clamp mounting systems such as Schletter or K2 Systems.
