Solid all-round for its segment
The GCL GCL-M10/54H series are rooftop modules based on a 108 monocrystalline cell layout divided into sections, helping reduce losses in real working conditions when parts of the panel are intermittently shaded or soiled. The application of PERC technology supports stable energy production in varying sunlight conditions, while the M10 cell format facilitates high power density without the "oversize" typical of larger modules.
In practice, this series addresses a common challenge for investors: how to fit more power on a roof while maintaining predictable yields during transitional seasons and with partial shading. The modules feature a glass-backsheet construction with a connector housing rated IP68, enhancing moisture and dust resistance for both residential and commercial standard installations.
The GCL-M10/54H is ideal for residential roofs, commercial buildings, and small sheds - especially where the balance between power, weight, ease of installation, and equipment reliability matters.

GCL System Integration has appeared on Bloomberg New Energy Finance's Tier 1 list since at least 2017 and has been ranked the world's second-largest module manufacturer by production capacity. Tier 1 status ensures full bankability - projects based on these modules qualify for non-recourse financing, reducing investment risk and simplifying insurance coverage for the installation.
The top variants in the series achieve 21.5% efficiency, virtually matching the Solarspace SS8-54HSB and Vikram Solar PARADEA (both at 21.51%) and outperforming the Phono Solar TWINPLUS (20.98%). For a 30 m² roof, this translates to approximately 0.15-0.45 kWp more than the segment median of ~21.0%.
Splitting the module into two independent electrical sections (split-cell design) reduces current losses under partial shading of one half by up to 50% compared to a conventional full-cell layout. The M10 format (182 mm) delivers high power density (400-420 Wp) within a 1722×1134×30 mm footprint, without the excessive weight typical of larger formats such as G12.
A value of -0.35%/°C is competitive within the PERC class (segment standard: -0.36 to -0.38%/°C), which at Polish summer temperatures (T_module ~60°C) limits power loss to approximately 12.3% vs. 13-14% for lower-performing PERC cells. The difference is most pronounced in July and August, when hourly energy yields are at their highest.
An IP68 rating (complete dust-tight protection and sustained submersion resistance) exceeds the standard IP65 found on budget prosumer modules. Combined with a glass-backsheet construction, this provides high moisture resistance under typical rooftop conditions, minimizing the risk of contact corrosion throughout the full warranty period.
PERC technology is subject to LID (Light-Induced Degradation), with a first-year power loss of ~2% vs. ~1% for N-type TOPCon. The series' linear power warranty guarantees 84.8% output after 25 years, whereas current TOPCon modules (e.g., GCL's own GCL-NT10 line) guarantee 87-90% over the same period. For a 10 kWp system, this equates to approximately 200-500 kWh/year less generation over a 20+ year horizon.
The series carries a 12-year product warranty, while the Vikram Solar PARADEA and many other Tier 1 modules in this power class standardly offer 15 years. The shorter workmanship warranty period may be a decisive factor in commercial project financing, where lenders typically require a minimum 15-year product warranty.
- Efficiency of 20.5% matches the PERC 400-450W median
