Light for its output, weak in heat
The Gamko New Energy GKA182M108 series consists of monocrystalline modules designed to maximize energy output even when roof conditions are not ideal. The use of a bifacial design allows for "collecting" additional energy from the back side as well, especially in areas where the ground or roof membrane reflects light. The modules use a PERC technology, ensuring good efficiency even in low-light conditions and during transitional periods, which is particularly important in the Polish climate.
In practice, this series solves two common problems for investors: decreased production on cloudy days and the risk of faster degradation. The manufacturer emphasizes PID resistance, which helps stabilize parameters over the long term. The use of glass with an anti-reflective coating also supports operation in diffuse light.
GKA182M108 is suitable for both residential and commercial installations, where high performance in challenging conditions and reliable, predictable energy production over the years are key.

The use of bifacial cells delivers an additional 5-15% energy gain from rear-side reflection, depending on ground albedo (white membrane, gravel, concrete). In the Polish climate, where diffuse albedo coverage is typical, this represents a tangible advantage over the monofacial variant of the peer-comparable Aptos Solar DNA 108-Monofacial at the same peak power of 415 Wp.
The maximum module efficiency (21.25%) is identical to that of the LEDVANCE M395~415P54LM-BF-F3 and Aptos Solar DNA 108, only 0.03 percentage points below the segment leader AE Solar AURORA AE MD-108 (21.28%). The series therefore sits in the top quintile of efficiency for the 108-cell PERC format.
The manufacturer offers a 30-year linear power warranty, as stated on gamkosolar.com. This is a standout specification for a PERC series; the market standard is 25 years (e.g., Trina Solar, JA Solar in comparable price segments), which meaningfully extends the horizon of guaranteed energy production for prosumers.
The series holds compliance certification to IEC 61215 (performance and durability testing) and IEC 61730 (electrical safety), as well as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. These certifications are a mandatory requirement for subsidies under the Mój Prąd program and for procurement by installers contracting with financial institutions.
The module is rated as PID (Potential Induced Degradation) resistant - a key attribute for installations operating at higher string voltages (1000 V systems). Combined with PERC technology that limits LID (Light Induced Degradation), this translates into more stable long-term performance under the variable irradiance conditions typical of the Polish climate.
Gamko New Energy does not appear on Bloomberg NEF Tier 1 lists (verified Q1-Q2 2026). This makes project financing more difficult - banks and investment funds routinely require modules from BNEF Tier 1 manufacturers as a prerequisite for bankability in project finance and leasing structures.
The market is broadly transitioning to N-type TOPCon cells (lower temperature coefficient, near-zero LID, higher bifacial gain of up to 25-30%). The GKA182M108 series is based on the older P-type PERC architecture, which over a 25-30 year horizon implies a relatively higher linear degradation rate and lower yield at elevated operating temperatures.
The product warranty stands at 12 years; leading manufacturers in comparable price segments (Jinko Solar, LONGi, REC Group) offer 15-25 years. For commercial installations with PPA agreements or operating leases, a shorter product warranty period may become a negotiating point that reduces asset valuation.
- Module efficiency of 20.7% is 1.3pp below average for TOPCon 400-450W panels (median: 22.0%)
- 207.4 W/m² power density is 12.8 W/m² below TOPCon 400-450W median (220.2 W/m²) - requires larger installation area
- -0.36%/°C temperature coefficient - 0.07pp worse than TOPCon 400-450W median (-0.29%/°C), expect higher hot weather losses
- Weight of 19.5 kg (2.5 kg below TOPCon 400-450W median of 22.0 kg) allows easier transport and roof mounting
