Light for its output, short guarantee
The STAR Pro solar panel series utilizes advanced N-TOPCon cell technology, which is the foundation of their high efficiency and exceptional resistance to light-induced degradation. Thanks to the use of N-type doping, these modules effectively eliminate the LID effect problem, which translates into more stable energy production over decades of operation. This solution is dedicated to investors seeking maximum yield from limited roof space, in both residential installations and large-scale farms. A key differentiator is the excellent performance in low-light conditions, which in the Polish climate allows for effective system operation even on cloudy days or during morning and evening hours. The panels are also characterized by a low temperature coefficient, which means they maintain high efficiency even during summer heat when standard modules lose power. By choosing the STAR Pro series, the user receives a product with increased mechanical durability and an extended linear power warranty, which directly shortens the return on investment time. This is a technology that sets new standards in reliability, outperforming traditional P-type solutions in terms of long-term profitability and stability of the entire system operation.

EGing PV appears on the BNEF Tier 1 Bankable Manufacturers list (confirmed Q2 2024 and subsequent editions), directly facilitating project finance for utility-scale PV plants and reducing investment risk. The manufacturer has been in operation since 2003 and holds an annual production capacity exceeding 25 GW.
N-type TOPCon technology delivers first-year degradation of no more than 1% and a maximum of 0.4%/year in subsequent years. The linear power warranty covers 30 years of operation with a floor of 87.4% of nominal power — a higher threshold than the standard 84.8% offered by most PERC series over 25 years.
The Pmax temperature coefficient of -0.30%/°C is notably more favorable than typical PERC cells (-0.34 to -0.37%/°C). At Polish summer module operating temperatures of 55–65°C, this translates into measurably higher energy yield during peak irradiance hours — an estimated 1.5–2.5% more energy output compared to PERC modules of equivalent nominal power.
The peak efficiency of 22.17% (480 Wp variant) is marginally below leading peer comparables (Sunket SKT480M: 22.24%, Shinson S-Blade: 22.24%), but significantly outperforms CdTe technology in the segment (First Solar S6+ Bifacial: 19%). The series ranks in the top quartile of efficiency for 60-cell N-TOPCon formats.
N-type cells are structurally free from Light Induced Degradation (LID), which causes a 1–3% power loss in the initial weeks of operation in P-type PERC modules. For investors, this means the rated nominal power is delivered from day one of commissioning, with no hidden power deduction built into the warranty baseline.
The product warranty period is 12 years, whereas leading competing N-TOPCon series (Jinko Tiger Neo, LONGi Hi-MO 6, JA Solar DeepBlue 4.0) standardly offer 15-year product warranties. For projects with a 20+ year investment horizon, this gap may be material during technical risk assessment by project finance lenders.
The series does not offer a bifacial variant (is_bifacial: false), precluding additional energy yield from rear-side albedo gain — typically +5–15% in ground-mounted installations over high-reflectance surfaces. The direct peer, First Solar Series 6 Plus, is available in a bifacial configuration at the same 480 Wp power class, making it the preferred choice for ground-mounted arrays with high albedo.
- Efficiency of 22.2% matches the TOPCon 450-500W median
- Power density of 221.7 W/m² is 3.5 W/m² below TOPCon 450-500W median (225.2 W/m²) - needs more roof space
- Temperature coefficient of -0.30%/°C matches the TOPCon 450-500W median
- 22.3 kg weight - 1.7 kg lighter than TOPCon 450-500W median (24.0 kg), reducing installation effort
- #5963 for efficiency, #6093 for temperature performance out of 14005 panels
