Strong in heat, no clear weak spot
The PEM.BB series was designed for installations where reliable yield and resilience to real working conditions are key. These are monocrystalline modules featuring half-cut technology with PERC cells, minimizing power losses and performing better under partial shading and uneven string loads. They are distinguished by the anti-reflective coating (ARC), which enhances light utilization in less-than-ideal weather conditions, effectively supporting more predictable energy production throughout the year.
Worth noting is the quality control - modules undergo a triple electroluminescence test, helping detect micro-cracks before they reach the roof. The series is also designed for demanding locations: high wind resistance, mechanical loads, hail resistance, and resistance to the PID effect enhance investment safety.
PEM.BB is an excellent choice for homes, businesses, and farms where longevity, the aesthetic appeal of black variants, and reliable operation for years are crucial.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Residential, commercial and shaded-installations.
Top 5% of the PERC 350-400 W segment, against a median of -0.350. Ranked 8,509th in the whole database.
Top 10% of the PERC 350-400 W segment, against a median of 19.90%.
Compared to peer comparables, PEM.BB stands out clearly: Silfab Prime NTC reaches 18.7%, Solitek SOLRIF N Terracota Bronze 18.34%, and even Aptos Solar DNA 120 tops out at 20.29%. The 1.8–2.2 percentage-point advantage over most competitors translates into meaningfully higher energy yield from the same roof area.
Every module undergoes three electroluminescence inspections before leaving the factory, eliminating units with cell microcracks. This is a standard rarely applied by mass-market manufacturers — most perform EL testing on a sample basis or only once.
Since 2017, Bruk-Bet has operated Meyer Burger equipment (stringers, laminators, and solar simulators), ensuring precision half-cut processing under a low-temperature thermal regime that minimizes mechanical stress in the cells during manufacturing.
The Tarnów facility (in operation since 2011) enables direct, Polish-language communication with the manufacturer and faster warranty claim resolution compared to Asian suppliers. This is particularly relevant when the original installer is no longer in business.
Independent testing by Italian institute KIWA confirms resistance to hailstones 55 mm in diameter at an impact velocity of 33.9 m/s — exceeding the IEC 61215 requirement of 25 mm / 23 m/s. The certification also covers resistance to PID, LID, ammonia, and salt mist.
The series launched in 2021 with P-type PERC cells, while the market shifted rapidly toward N-type TOPCon and HJT between 2023 and 2025. N-type cells exhibit a lower LID degradation rate (~0.1% vs. ~0.3% per year for PERC) and better high-temperature performance, meaning that at the same rated power of 370 Wp, competing modules built on newer technology may deliver higher real-world energy yield.
The PEM.BB series is available in 370 Wp only, limiting system design flexibility — both for small rooftops that would benefit from lower-wattage modules and for commercial installations where 400–450+ Wp modules have become the norm. The absence of additional variants complicates MPPT string optimization.
- Efficiency of 20.5% is 1.1pp above the PERC 0-400W median (19.4%)
- Power density of 202.1 W/m² packs 7.7 W/m² more into the same footprint vs PERC 0-400W median (194.4 W/m²)
- -0.32%/°C temperature coefficient (median: -0.36%/°C) - retains ~1% more power at high temperatures
- In the top 81% for efficiency among all PERC panels
