Warranty pick, weak in heat
The AS-6M144-HC series consists of premium-class monocrystalline photovoltaic modules, designed for maximum performance in both large commercial installations and demanding prosumer systems. The key to their high efficiency is the combination of Half-Cell PERC technology with a 144-cell array and the use of multi-busbar - a greater number of collecting bars minimizes resistive losses and improves resistance to microcracks, which are a common cause of degradation in competing modules. This allows the modules to maintain excellent operating parameters even under partial shading and in low-sunlight conditions. The series is distinguished by its proven PID resistance (potential-induced degradation), which is crucial in high-voltage systems. The robust construction with a durable aluminum frame allows it to withstand extreme loads from snow and wind, and the panels have passed salt fog, ammonia, and hail resistance tests. Two-stage warranty - product and power - ensures the security of your investment for decades, making this series an attractive choice for installers and investors who prioritize reliability.

Signals from the data
Residential, commercial and shaded-installations.
Hot climates.
Top 20% of the PERC 450-500 W segment, against a median of 25 yrs.
Bottom 8% of the PERC 450-500 W segment, against a median of -0.350. Ranked 12,345th in the whole database.
The module is certified for a snow load of 5400 Pa and wind load of 2400 Pa, which exceeds the industry standard (3600 Pa / 2400 Pa). This makes the series suitable for installation in areas with heavy snowfall and strong winds.
The manufacturer guarantees that the product will maintain more than 80% of its nominal power for 30 years, backed by a 30-year product warranty. This 30-year warranty period is longer than the standard 25-year warranty periods offered by many competitors in the PERC segment.
The 144-cell configuration with a central bypass diode reduces resistive losses and improves resistance to microcracks and partial shading, resulting in higher efficiency at low illumination levels compared to standard full-cell modules without MBB (Micro-Battery Bypass).
The series has passed tests according to IEC TS 62804 (PID), IEC 61701 (salt spray), IEC 62716 (ammonia), and hail tests. The set of certificates includes IEC 61215, IEC 61730, UL 1703, and CE – which allows for use in installations exposed to aggressive industrial and coastal environments.
The maximum efficiency of 21.27% places the series in close competition with comparable JS Solar and Jinko Solar JS182MHC120 (21.48%) modules. This represents a solid technological achievement for its generation, considering it's a PERC module from 2020.
The series has been discontinued (released in 2020). Availability is limited to existing stock held by distributors; there is no ongoing service support and it is difficult to obtain replacement modules for expansion or to replace damaged units.
A comparable DAH DHN-54R18/DG(BW) achieves 22.78% efficiency, compared to the maximum 21.27% of the AS-6M144-HC series. This difference of 1.51% indicates that the DAH installation, with the same roof area, will actually produce more energy.
From 2022-2023, the premium segment has been dominated by N-type TOPCon and HJT cells, which offer a lower LID degradation rate, better temperature coefficients, and higher efficiencies (>22%). The 2020 PERC module does not match these parameters.
Independent reports from commercial installations (3.6 MW) indicate negative results from TÜV Rheinland tests, which are inconsistent with the declared power tolerance, as well as very poor handling of warranty claims. This poses a significant risk, particularly in large investments where enforcing warranties is crucial.
The module is monofacial (is_bifacial: false), while the DAH DHN-54R18/DG(BW) offers a bifacial design. When mounted on reflective surfaces (concrete, gravel, snow), the potential yield loss is estimated to be 5–15% per year.
- Efficiency of 20.8% matches the PERC 450-500W median
- At 208.1 W/m² power density, roof space requirements are typical for PERC 450-500W panels
- At -0.36%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for PERC 450-500W panels
- Ranked #10453 out of 14005 panels for efficiency in the database
