Efficiency leader, no clear weak spot
The AmoSolar AS370-395M6-120 series consists of monocrystalline half-cut modules with a 120-cell architecture, designed to operate reliably even under less-than-ideal rooftop conditions. Dividing the cells in half reduces losses due to conduction and improves performance under partial shading - a practical advantage in installations with chimneys, skylights, or trees nearby. The use of PERC technology enhances the utilization of diffuse light, which is important in the Polish climate, where frequent cloud cover and variable sunshine are common. These modules offer a high efficiency compared to standard monofacial modules and are easy to integrate into typical rooftop layouts, making it possible to optimize the design without compromising aesthetics. Another advantage is their resistance to environmental conditions - the robust construction and sealed junction box ensure reliable operation. This makes them a good choice for single-family homes, small businesses, and hybrid and off-grid installations, where predictable energy production and reliability are key.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Residential, off-grid and shaded-installations.
Top 1% of the PERC 350-400 W segment, against a median of 19.90%. Ranked 9,255th in the whole database.
Top 1% of the PERC 350-400 W segment, against a median of 199.0. Ranked 9,250th in the whole database.
The top-performing AS395 variant achieves an efficiency of 21.67%, surpassing Meyer Burger Black (21.5%) and significantly outperforming Waaree EDO PRO (19.83%). This places the series among the leaders in the monofacial PERC segment for M6-120 format.
Dividing the cells in half reduces resistive losses by approximately 50% compared to full-sized cells and limits the impact of partial shading on the overall module's performance – a practical advantage for roofs with chimneys, dormer windows, or nearby vegetation.
The wide range of power outputs, with six different options, allows for precise adaptation of the design to the available roof space and optimization of string configurations without compromising the layout of the modules.
Rear passivation of PERC improves the absorption of infrared and diffuse radiation compared to standard mono-BSF cells. This has a measurable impact in the Polish climate, where days with full sunlight represent a small portion of the annual energy balance.
The manufacturer guarantees a linear performance warranty for 25 years, which is the industry standard and is acceptable to banks and insurers for both prosumer and small commercial installations.
AmoSolar does not appear on the list of bankable manufacturers compiled by BloombergNEF (Q1 2026), which could make it difficult for banks to finance projects and may also reduce the perceived credibility of large commercial installations or when selling properties with installed systems.
The 12-year product warranty is weaker than those offered by companies like Meyer Burger (25 years) or the standard 15-year warranties from leading Tier-1 manufacturers (JA Solar, Trina). With a lifespan of 25+ years, the risk of lacking service and support from the manufacturer increases.
P-type PERC cells exhibit a higher LID (Light-Induced Degradation) rate and a poorer temperature coefficient compared to N-type cells. Over a 25-year lifespan, this could translate to a lower cumulative energy yield compared to newer technologies available in the same price range.
The module does not utilize the albedo effect – typically producing an additional 5–20% of power compared to bifacial modules (e.g., HT-SAAE Double Glass TOPCon with comparable products). This limits the potential for increased energy yield under favorable conditions (reflective surface, gravel, snow).
- 21.1% module efficiency - 1.7pp better than the PERC 0-400W median of 19.4%
- 211.2 W/m² power density - 16.8 W/m² more than PERC 0-400W median (194.4 W/m²), more power per roof area
- Temperature coefficient of -0.35%/°C matches the PERC 0-400W median
- Ranked #9255 out of 14005 panels for efficiency in the database
