Light for its output, weak in heat
The AIKO N-Type ABC Black Hole (AIKO-A-MAH54Mb) series was designed for maximum yield from the same rooftop surface - without compromising on aesthetics. The key technology here is N-Type ABC (All Back Contact), which involves moving the electrical connections to the rear of the cell. The result is a clean, uniform black appearance without visible busbars, as well as reduced optical losses - truly helping when every square meter of installation counts.
In practice, these modules feature Full Black with no lines on the front, which is particularly important for modern buildings, premium investments, and visible roofs from the street. The series is also designed for reliable performance in more challenging conditions - better behavior at high temperatures and low degradation over time translate to more predictable energy production year after year. Additionally, the high power output per module can simplify the design and reduce the number of panels, as well as the components and cabling involved - benefits for the Balance of System (BOS). This is a well-chosen option for residential and commercial installations, especially where aesthetics, power density, and long-term profitability matter.

Hot climates.
Top 23% of the Back Contact 450-500 W segment, against a median of 48.0.
Bottom 5% of the Back Contact 450-500 W segment, against a median of -0.260. Ranked 2,165th in the whole database.
Maximum efficiency of 23.6% surpasses all comparable models: Risen RSM96-11 (23.0%), SunKean SKT (23.02%), and Zonergy ZPM MH3-72 (21.16%). The difference of +0.6% compared to Risen translates to approximately 2.6% more power from the same roof area – a significant advantage when dealing with limited roof space or high installation costs.
The confirmed Pmax coefficient of -0.29%/°C indicates a power loss of approximately 13.1% at a module temperature of 70°C (45°C above STC), while typical PERC modules lose approximately 16.7% (-0.37%/°C). This difference of 3.6% has a real impact on energy production in hot, sunny summers in southern regions.
The manufacturer guarantees a degradation of ≤1% in the first year and ≤0.35%/year in years 2-30. This, based on linear calculations, results in approximately 89% of the nominal power remaining after 30 years. The product warranty is 15 years, and the power warranty is 30 years – both are confirmed in the official datasheet for the MAH54Mb series.
Transferring all electrical connections to the back of the module (All Back Contact) eliminates visible lines on the module's front. Unlike standard full black TOPCon modules, where busbars are only darkened with paint, the AIKO-A-MAH54Mb surface is uniformly black – a significant advantage for premium installations and roofs exposed to street traffic.
AIKO is listed on the BNEF Tier 1 PV Module Manufacturers list since at least Q3 2025, which facilitates financing for projects by independent commercial banks and reduces counterparty risk with a 30-year warranty period. Zonergy (a comparable company) does not have Tier 1 status from BNEF, which places AIKO in a more favorable position regarding bankability.
A fully black design excludes bifaciality (is_bifacial: false). In installations using clear TPO/PVC membranes or ground with a clear substrate, bifacial N-type modules of the same power class typically generate 10–15% more energy annually due to rear reflection. Choosing this series means consciously sacrificing this bonus for aesthetics.
- Efficiency of 23.3% matches the Back Contact 450-500W median
- Power density of 233.0 W/m² matches the Back Contact 450-500W median
- Temperature coefficient of -0.29%/°C is 0.03pp worse than Back Contact 450-500W median (-0.26%/°C) - higher losses in summer heat
- 20.5 kg weight - 3.0 kg lighter than Back Contact 450-500W median (23.5 kg), reducing installation effort
- Ranked #1017 out of 14005 panels for efficiency in the database
