An efficiency of 98.3-98.6% in European conditions translates to a significantly higher annual yield in Poland, under variable cloud cover, compared to devices with efficiencies of 97-97.5%.

The XH architecture allows for operation in a purely on-grid configuration from day one, and connecting Growatt APX (HV) batteries in the future does not require replacing the inverter - simply expanding the system. This is a significant advantage for investors who plan to install energy storage but want to postpone the investment.

Two independent MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) controllers with a voltage range of 140-1000 V DC and a maximum input current of 16 A/MPPT allow you to connect two separate strings with different orientations or levels of shading. Each controller independently optimizes its operating point, which significantly reduces losses under less-than-ideal mounting conditions.

The IP66 protection class guarantees protection against dust and strong water jets, allowing for outdoor installation without the need for an additional enclosure. The transformer-less design results in a lower weight (approximately 23 kg for a 10 kW unit) and higher efficiency, while still meeting European network standards.

Built-in Wi-Fi and RS485, along with the free ShineServer (web) and ShinePhone (iOS/Android) platform, enable full monitoring of the installation without any subscription fees - unlike companies like SMA, which charge a fee for access to the Sunny Portal after 10 years. Data export and real-time alerts are available without additional modules.

Growatt is not listed on the BNEF Tier-1 Power Inverter Manufacturers list (Q1 2026). For commercial projects financed by banks or funds that require a bankable inverter as a condition for loan approval, this could be a disqualifying criterion, forcing borrowers to choose between SMA, Fronius, or SolarEdge.

The MOD KTL3-XH series is designed to work exclusively with Growatt APX (HV) batteries. The official compatibility list does not include popular brands like Pylontech, BYD, or CATL - the lack of an open CAN/RS485 protocol with external BESS systems limits the freedom of choosing an energy storage supplier.

The standard manufacturer's warranty is 10 years; extending it to 20 years requires purchasing a separate package (e.g., ESTG Warranty Extension). Some competitors in the premium segment (e.g., Fronius) offer a 10-year standard warranty with a more developed service network in Poland, which may be important when calculating the total cost of ownership for commercial installations.
