The GoodWe MT series are three-phase grid-tie inverters designed for commercial and industrial installations - from warehouse rooftops to larger ground-mounted systems, where project flexibility and stable performance under demanding conditions are key. The key advantage is multiple MPPTs, which facilitate optimising energy yield from different string orientations, uneven solar irradiance, and partial shading, minimising the losses from mismatch losses.
High European efficiency means the inverter maintains excellent performance not only at the laboratory maximum but, above all, under typical operating conditions in Poland - which in turn translates to annual energy production. In terms of safety and reliability, the series offers practical installation solutions, including string-level monitoring and built-in protective functions supporting operation.
Daily management is supported by remote monitoring in the SEMS ecosystem and commissioning via the installer app, with communication possible via WiFi, RS485, or wired solutions depending on the configuration. This is an excellent choice for companies seeking reliable performance, control over production, and clear diagnostics, backed by the typical manufacturer warranty for this class.

Pros and cons
The MT series features 4 independent MPPT trackers (with a range of 200-850 V each), which is a standard higher than that offered by some competitors, who typically offer 2-3 MPPT systems (e.g., SMA Sunny Tripower CORE2 75 kW - 3 MPPT). This allows for optimal matching to installations on roofs with different azimuths or with partial shading, without the need for optimization systems.
The inverter supports DC input over-voltage up to 150% of the AC rated power, as well as continuous AC output over-current up to 150%, which allows for extended operation at full power and improved performance in low-light conditions. This translates to a faster return on investment compared to devices without the Power Boost function.
The startup voltage is 200 V DC, while most competitors in this class (e.g., Sungrow SG80KTL-20, Huawei SUN2000-60KTL) start at 250-300 V. In Polish conditions (low sun angles in the morning/evening, cloudy days), this results in a longer daily energy generation time, which is particularly noticeable during short winter days.
Built-in monitoring at the string level and PLC communication enable the identification of faults without additional equipment. The certified AFCI (arc fault detection) function meets the growing requirements of insurers and the IEC 63027 standard for commercial installations, which is often crucial for obtaining property protection for large industrial facilities.
GoodWe is listed on BloombergNEF's Tier 1 Power Inverter Manufacturer list for Q2 2025, with over 100 GW of installed capacity globally. Tier 1 status is required by most banks that finance commercial projects in Poland through leasing or investment loans - the absence of this status for a manufacturer prevents bank financing of the project.
The MT series only includes models with capacities of 50, 60, 70, and 80 kW, which excludes its use in smaller commercial installations (25-50 kW) - in these cases, GoodWe directs customers to the SMT series (25-36 kW). An investor planning to expand a system from a smaller power level must consider switching to a different series or using multiple smaller-class inverters in parallel.
