The Deye SUN-G03-LV series are three-phase grid-tie inverters for PV systems, where stable operation and precise yield monitoring are key. Their main advantage is two independent MPPTs, which simplify string design for different roof orientations or partial shading - enabling each generator segment to operate closer to its maximum potential, rather than pulling down the entire system.
High European efficiency is also a plus, delivering genuinely better performance under typical operating conditions in Europe (varying temperatures and insolation), translating to more predictable annual energy production. These inverters offer useful features for modern installations, including zero export (limiting energy sent to the grid) and grid support via VSG.
For handling and diagnostics, communication options are available, including WLAN and wired interfaces, facilitating ongoing system analysis. The housing with IP65 protection class and compliance with safety/EMC standards supports installation in demanding environments - a sensible choice for larger homes and small commercial properties.

Pros and cons
The series offers 2 independent MPPT tracking points, available in 6-8 kW variants, while some competitors in this power range (e.g., Solis RHI-3P6K-HVES-5G) only offer 1 MPPT. This allows for the design of strings with different orientations without losing efficiency due to mismatches between strings.
The G03 series inverters achieve European-level efficiency of approximately 98.2%, which exceeds the median efficiency of 6-15 kW three-phase network inverters in the segment (~97.5-97.8%). In typical Polish conditions (variable solar irradiance, frequent partial loads), this translates to a significantly higher annual energy yield.
The function of a virtual synchronous generator (VSG) with THD <3% improves the stability of the grid and meets the requirements of distribution networks for generating devices. Zero export is achieved through an energy meter without the need for an external controller - this is particularly important in installations with limited export capabilities.
The IP65 protection class allows for outdoor mounting without the need for an additional enclosure. The temperature derating starts only above 45°C, and full functionality at -25°C eliminates the need to heat the enclosure in installations in harsh climatic environments.
Deye (Ningbo Deye Technology Co., Ltd.) was included in the inaugural Tier-1 Cleantech Companies list by S&P Global and the PVBL Top 20 Global Solar Inverter Brands 2025 list, which significantly reduces the risk of lacking service and spare parts support over a 10-15-year lifespan.
The G03-LV series was primarily designed for three-phase 127/220 V networks (the Latin American market). When ordering for the Polish market (230/400 V), it is essential to carefully verify the voltage variant with the distributor - a mistake can lead to incompatibility with the OSD network and a lack of certification.
Installation, maintenance, and DTR (Technical Data Sheet) instructions for series G03-LV are only available in English and Chinese. This makes it difficult for installers who do not speak English to handle warranty claims and can complicate procedures with OSD (Original Equipment Supplier) that require technical documentation in Polish.
Since 2023, Deye has offered a dedicated G06P3-EU series with built-in RCDs, expanded interfaces (PLC, RS485), and EN 50549 certifications specifically designed to meet the requirements of European OSDs. The G03-LV series from 2021 does not have these certifications, which could limit its acceptance by some network operators in Poland.
