The SunEvo Solar SE6-44SC series are shingled-type modules designed to extract more energy from the same roof area while minimizing internal losses. A key advantage is the solderless connection technology - the cells are connected using conductive adhesive and arranged "overlappingly", which reduces resistance and improves performance under partial shading (e.g., from chimneys, antennas, or skylights). This makes the installation more predictable in real-world conditions, rather than just in a laboratory.

The SE6-44SC also features high cell packing density, virtually eliminating gaps between segments, which translates to better use of space on the roof. For investors, increased resistance to microcracks is important - the absence of traditional soldered strips helps to reduce the risk of degradation under thermal and mechanical loads. The series is suitable for single-family homes and commercial and industrial (C&I) roofs, especially where aesthetics are important (available options with black frame / ultra black), and stable production is required even in challenging installation conditions.

About the SE6-44SC series

6 answered

These answers cover the whole series. Where a figure differs, the specification above is this module's own.

What is the shingled cell technology in the SunEvo Solar SE6-44SC panels, and why does it matter?
The SE6-44SC series uses shingled cells overlapped and bonded with conductive adhesive instead of conventional soldered busbars. This reduces internal resistance, virtually eliminates gaps between cells, and improves performance under partial shading. The result is higher annual energy yield than the nameplate wattage alone would suggest, translating into a faster return on investment.
What warranty does the SunEvo Solar SE6-44SC come with?
SunEvo Solar provides a 25-year product warranty covering manufacturing defects and materials, along with a 25-year linear power warranty. This means the module is guaranteed to maintain output within the degradation curve specified in the datasheet for a full quarter century - one of the longest warranty standards currently available in the PV module market.
Do the SE6-44SC panels perform well on roofs with a chimney, antenna, or dormers?
Yes, the shingled technology in the SE6-44SC series is especially beneficial under partial shading. The solderless cell interconnection and overlapping layout reduce hot-spot risk and minimize current losses when part of the module is shaded by a chimney, antenna, or dormer window. This is a significant advantage in typical residential rooftop installations.
Is the SunEvo Solar SE6-44SC a bifacial module?
No, the SE6-44SC is a monofacial module that generates power from the front side only. For most pitched residential rooftops, the rear surface has no meaningful exposure to reflected irradiance, so the lack of bifaciality is not a disadvantage. The monofacial variant is generally simpler to install and carries a lower upfront cost.
Is the SE6-44SC series available in a black frame or ultra black version?
Yes, SunEvo Solar offers the SE6-44SC in black frame and ultra black variants, where the dark finish covers the frame, backsheet, and cells. These options are popular in residential installations where the panel's appearance matters as much as performance, as well as in commercial projects on prominent rooftops.
What is the maximum power output of the SE6-44SC, and what type of installations is it designed for?
The SE6-44SC delivers up to 430 Wp per module. The series suits both residential prosumer systems and commercial and industrial (C&I) rooftop applications where high cell packing density is critical. Thanks to the shingled layout, more energy can be harvested from the same roof area compared to standard half-cut PERC modules.
