Middle of its segment, heavy for its output
The Solar N Plus SP-N16/144HG series has been designed to maximize energy yields under real-world conditions, even when the roof or ground does not provide ideal exposure. These are bifacial modules based on N-type TOPCon technology, which can effectively utilize reflected light from the ground, increasing energy production without requiring any expansion of the installation. The dual-glass construction improves resistance to moisture, temperature changes, and loads, which translates into more stable operation in demanding locations, such as PV farms, carport structures, or industrial halls.
This series also features low degradation and excellent performance in hot weather - a better temperature coefficient means fewer losses on hot days when other modules experience a more significant drop in performance. SP-N16/144HG is the choice for investors who prioritize LCOE, want to minimize maintenance risks, and expect predictable production for many years.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Commercial, utility-scale and hot-climate.
Weight-limited structures, roofs where every square metre has to count and tight roof space.
Bottom 9% of the TOPCon 550-600 W segment, against a median of 53.8. Ranked 11,263rd in the whole database.
Bottom 20% of the TOPCon 550-600 W segment, against a median of 224.4.
Bottom 21% of the TOPCon 550-600 W segment, against a median of 22.44%.
- At 21.9% efficiency, this panel is 0.5pp below the TOPCon 550-600W median of 22.4%
- 218.7 W/m² power density is 5.7 W/m² below TOPCon 550-600W median (224.4 W/m²) - requires larger installation area
- Temperature coefficient of -0.29%/°C matches the TOPCon 550-600W median
- At 32.5 kg, this panel is 1.3 kg heavier than the TOPCon 550-600W median (31.2 kg) - more demanding for installation crews
- Bifaciality factor of 80% can add 4-12% extra yield with reflective mounting surface

Datasheet charts
Measured curves published by Solar N Plus in this model's datasheet. A chart carrying a wattage was measured on that variant alone - only the ones that describe 565 Wp appear here. The rest cover the whole series.
Simulations
Degradation from this panel's own datasheet figures. No inverter, soiling or shading losses.
Model: bifaciality × albedo × 0.6 view factor. A first-order estimate, not a yield simulation.
