The Solar N Plus CYGNUS All-black Bifacial solar panel series represents a breakthrough combination of uncompromising aesthetics and the highest energy efficiency. The use of N-type TOPCon cell technology allows for significantly higher efficiency while simultaneously reducing light-induced degradation. What sets this line apart from the competition is the unique design of the full-black bifacial module, which debunks the myth that bifacial panels cannot look elegant on the roof of a single-family home. Thanks to the ability to absorb radiation reflected from the ground, the user gains additional energy yield without sacrificing the deep, uniform black of the entire installation. This solves the problem for investors seeking maximum savings who previously had to choose between the performance of bifacial modules and modern design. High resistance to harsh weather conditions and excellent performance in low-light conditions make the CYGNUS series an ideal choice for the most demanding residential projects. It is an investment in long-term power parameter stability, which clearly outperforms standard market solutions in terms of durability and the rate of return on invested capital.

Common questions

6 answered
Is the Solar N Plus CYGNUS All-black Bifacial series still available for purchase?
The CYGNUS All-black Bifacial series has been discontinued and is no longer in active production. Some distributors may still carry remaining stock, but consistent availability should not be expected. If you are looking for similar specifications — N-type TOPCon technology, full-black aesthetics, and a bifacial module — ask your supplier about a current equivalent from Solar N Plus or another manufacturer.
What warranty does the Solar N Plus CYGNUS All-black Bifacial panel carry?
The manufacturer provides a 15-year product warranty covering material and workmanship defects, along with a 30-year linear power output warranty. This guarantees the panel retains a specified percentage of its rated power for three decades. The 30-year power warranty places the CYGNUS series above the typical market standard, which is usually 25 years even for N-type TOPCon modules.
What is N-type TOPCon technology and why does it matter for a residential PV system?
N-type TOPCon is a solar cell built on N-type silicon wafers with an additional passivating contact layer that reduces charge carrier recombination losses. In practice, this means higher efficiency than conventional PERC cells, near-zero susceptibility to light-induced degradation (LID), and better performance at elevated temperatures. For a prosumer installation, this translates to a higher annual energy yield and a slower power degradation rate over the system lifetime.
How does an all-black bifacial module actually work — does the rear side of the CYGNUS panel generate power?
Yes. A bifacial module has active cells on both sides of the glass. The rear side absorbs albedo light reflected from the surface below — such as light-colored gravel, a white roofing membrane, or snow. In the CYGNUS series the rear surface maintains the full-black aesthetic, which slightly reduces bifacial gain compared to a white backsheet, but does not eliminate it. In typical rooftop installations, the bifacial gain ranges from a few to over ten percent.
Do the CYGNUS All-black 415 Wp panels perform well in winter and under overcast conditions?
N-type TOPCon technology has a more favorable temperature coefficient than P-type PERC modules — it loses less power on hot days and maintains more stable output on cold, overcast days. Under low-irradiance conditions typical of central European winters, N-type cells generate proportionally more energy than older technologies, resulting in a higher annual yield in a temperate climate.
Is the 415 Wp CYGNUS All-black Bifacial panel compatible with standard inverters and rooftop mounting systems?
The 415 Wp CYGNUS module falls within the input range supported by the vast majority of string inverters with MPPT inputs, both single-phase (3–6 kW) and three-phase. The module dimensions follow the standard half-cut format, making it compatible with conventional aluminum rail systems and clamps used in prosumer installations. We recommend confirming the string voltage configuration with a certified installer before purchase.
