Efficiency leader, heavy for its output
The Luxor Solar Eco Line N-Type HJT Glass-Glass Bifacial, Transparent, Black Frame (M108 / 420-440 W) series consists of modules designed for installations where both aesthetics and real energy yield are important. The use of N-Type HJT cells minimizes degradation and helps maintain high efficiency over time, while the glass-glass construction increases resistance to moisture, loads, and changing weather conditions - important for roofs and buildings requiring a long lifespan. A key advantage is bifaciality, which allows for energy production from both sides, enabling better utilization of reflected light from the ground. The transparent version opens up applications in canopies, carports, and pergolas, where light transmission is important. The black frame completes the product, ensuring that the modules look cohesive on modern buildings and commercial projects, standing out from typical, non-transparent panels.
Ranking
Signals from the data
Residential, commercial and BIPV.
Weight-limited structures.
Top 15% of the HJT 400-450 W segment, against a median of 22.20%.
Bottom 23% of the HJT 400-450 W segment, against a median of 52.4.
Efficiency of 22.61-22.86% exceeds comparable N-Type series on the market: JA Solar JAM54D40 (22.5%), G-STAR CleanEdge (22.53%), and Lina Energy LEPV 132 (22.37%), despite a similar peak power of ~440 Wp.
The 30-year product warranty and 30-year linear power warranty are among the longest in the PV market - typical Tier-1 manufacturers offer 12-15 years product warranty and 25-30 years power warranty. This is a direct result of low HJT cell degradation and the glass-glass construction.
A Pmax temperature coefficient of approximately -0.24%/°C translates to a power loss of only ~11% at a module temperature of 70°C, delivering noticeably better summer yield than typical PERC modules (usually -0.35% to -0.40%/°C).
A bifaciality factor of up to ~95% enables 5-15% additional yield versus monofacial modules on bright surfaces (flat roofs, gravel, snow). The transparent glass-glass construction further opens applications in carports, pergolas, and canopies where light transmittance matters.
The series was manufactured from 2023 to 2024 and has since been discontinued, meaning limited availability of warranty service and spare parts, as well as a risk of mismatched modules if the installation needs to be expanded in the future.
Luxor Solar is not classified as a Tier 1 manufacturer under BNEF, unlike some peer comparables such as JA Solar. Despite competitive technical parameters, this can complicate bank financing for larger commercial projects that require Tier 1 status.
- Efficiency of 22.6% matches the HJT 400-450W median
- Power density of 222.8 W/m² matches the HJT 400-450W median
- Temperature coefficient of -0.24%/°C matches the HJT 400-450W median
- At 24.0 kg, weight matches the HJT 400-450W median
- Bifaciality factor of 92% can add 5-14% extra yield with reflective mounting surface
