Middle of its segment, weak in heat
The Lina Energy LEPV 80 HALF-CUT series is designed for high power density on a limited roof area - without compromising durability and operational stability. The use of monocrystalline cells in the half-cut technology results in improved performance under partial shading and lower internal losses, which effectively helps to achieve typical Polish installation conditions (chimneys, skylights, trees). The modules use tempered glass with an anti-reflective coating, which allows them to more effectively "collect" light at less favorable angles, while also being prepared for environmental loads. The high-sealing connection and junction box also deserve attention, which limits the risk of operational problems over the long term. This series is well-suited for residential and small commercial installations, where consistent quality and predictable performance over the years are key. Compared to many "no name" panels, it stands out due to its refined design and a sensible balance between efficiency, durability, and maintainability.

Residential, commercial and shaded-installations.
Hot climates, owners who want a long output guarantee and tight roof space.
Bottom 5% of the TOPCon 400-450 W segment, against a median of -0.290. Ranked 8,778th in the whole database.
Bottom 7% of the TOPCon 400-450 W segment, against a median of 30 yrs. Ranked 9,798th in the whole database.
Bottom 14% of the TOPCon 400-450 W segment, against a median of 22.00%.
21.33% efficiency matches the best comparable model (Luxor Solar Eco Line TOPCon, 21.33%) and beats VDS Renewable VDS-S144/FNH (20.4%) by 0.93pp and Sunket SKT410~430M10-108D4 (21%) by 0.33pp. That's a real advantage at the same 410 Wp power class, meaning less roof area per installed kWp.
The half-cut design reduces resistive losses and improves module performance under partial shading (chimneys, dormers, trees) - common on Polish pitched roofs. Combined with N-type TOPCon cells, this translates into lower LID/LeTID degradation than older PERC panels.
The anti-reflective coating improves light capture at unfavorable angles of incidence, while the high ingress-protection rating of the connector and junction box lowers the long-term risk of moisture-related failures.
The series has remained in continuous production since its 2022 launch (series_info.discontinued = false), ensuring ongoing warranty, service, and spare-parts availability, unlike discontinued competing models.
20-year product / 25-year power warranty falls short of the current market standard for N-type TOPCon (25-year product / 30-year power with 87.4% output at year 30, offered by LONGi Hi-MO 6, Canadian Solar TOPHiKu6). Notably, Lina Energy's own newer LEPV 108 Nexa TOPCon series already offers 25/30 years, putting the LEPV 80 HALF-CUT behind the manufacturer's own current portfolio.
The manufacturer was founded in 2017 and the series launched in 2022 - only about 4 years of field data, versus decades of experience from tier-1 leaders. Given the 25-year power warranty, this limits confidence in long-term service and claims stability.
The series comes in a single 410 Wp variant (variant_count = 1), while the comparable Sunket SKT410~430M10-108D4 spans 410-430 Wp. The lack of variants reduces flexibility when matching module count to available roof area and inverter sizing.
- Module efficiency of 21.3% is 0.7pp below average for TOPCon 400-450W panels (median: 22.0%)
- 213.3 W/m² power density is 6.9 W/m² below TOPCon 400-450W median (220.2 W/m²) - requires larger installation area
- At -0.34%/°C, loses 0.05pp more power per degree than TOPCon 400-450W median (-0.29%/°C)
- Weight of 21.0 kg is typical for TOPCon 400-450W panels
