Middle of its segment, weak in heat
The Leapton LP182*182-M-54-MH series was designed to maximize energy yield from a limited roof area, without compromising durability. The use of monocrystalline cells in a half-cut configuration helps to minimize power losses and improves the module's performance under partial shading, which is particularly relevant in typical Polish installations (chimneys, trees, skylights). The modules utilize a proven PERC cell architecture, allowing them to better utilize available light, even in conditions of lower sunlight. The tempered, anti-reflective glass also supports stable operation in varying weather conditions and makes it easier to maintain an aesthetically pleasing appearance. The entire system is completed by a watertight junction box with a high level of protection, which is essential in humid and dusty environments. This makes it an excellent choice for residential and small to medium-sized commercial roof installations, where high efficiency, reliability, and long-term operation are key.

Residential, commercial and shaded-installations.
Hot climates, roofs where every square metre has to count and tight roof space.
Bottom 1% of the TOPCon 400-450 W segment, against a median of -0.290. Ranked 12,345th in the whole database.
Bottom 3% of the TOPCon 400-450 W segment, against a median of 220.2. Ranked 10,749th in the whole database.
Bottom 3% of the TOPCon 400-450 W segment, against a median of 22.00%. Ranked 10,716th in the whole database.
The use of TOPCon (N-type) technology instead of legacy PERC reduces LID/LeTID degradation and improves high-temperature performance, translating into higher real-world energy yield during Polish summer conditions.
The top efficiency of 21.27% is on par with tier-1 competitors, including LEDVANCE M395~415P54LM-BF-F3 (21.25%) and Aptos DNA 108-Monofacial (21.25%), trailing only slightly behind AE Solar AURORA MD-108 (21.28%).
Leapton Energy is listed on the BNEF Tier 1 list, and its modules were recognized as a Top Performer in the independent Kiwa PVEL PV Module Reliability Scorecard 2025, reducing supplier selection risk.
The manufacturer declares an annual degradation rate of 0.55% and 84.8% retained nominal power after 25 years of operation, a standard benchmark for modern TOPCon modules in this segment.
The 108 half-cut cell layout (182x182 mm) at approximately 1724x1134 mm dimensions delivers up to 415 Wp from a relatively small area, which matters for the typically small roof surfaces common in Poland.
The LP182*182-M-54-MH series has been phased out (released 2021, discontinued 2023), meaning limited availability of replacement units and potentially more difficult warranty claims over the remaining term of the 15-year product and 25-year power warranty.
Unlike the comparable LEDVANCE M395~415P54LM-BF-F3 (BF - bifacial), the Leapton LP182*182-M-54-MH modules are monofacial only, ruling out the additional rear-side yield gain relevant for flat-roof installations with reflective ground surfaces.
- Module efficiency of 20.7% is 1.3pp below average for TOPCon 400-450W panels (median: 22.0%)
- Power density of 207.2 W/m² is 13.0 W/m² below TOPCon 400-450W median (220.2 W/m²) - needs more roof space
- Temperature coefficient of -0.36%/°C is 0.07pp worse than TOPCon 400-450W median (-0.29%/°C) - higher losses in summer heat
- At 21.0 kg, weight matches the TOPCon 400-450W median
- #10716 for efficiency, #12345 for temperature performance out of 14005 panels
