Warranty pick, modest efficiency
Isola New Energy 156M SPLIT CELL photovoltaic panels are an advanced solution based on half-cut cell technology, which significantly increases the operating efficiency of the entire system. Thanks to the division of the module into two independent sections, this series effectively minimizes energy losses resulting from partial shading, making it an ideal choice for rooftop installations with complex geometry. The use of monocrystalline cells with a 156 mm side guarantees stable energy yield even in less favorable lighting conditions, typical for the Polish climate zone. The Split Cell design not only reduces internal resistance but also drastically lowers the risk of harmful hot-spots, which directly translates into exceptional mechanical durability and a longer lifespan for the entire module. For investors looking for a balance between price and efficiency, this series offers a better power temperature coefficient, which allows for generating greater savings on hot days compared to standard designs. This product is dedicated to both residential prosumers and owners of commercial micro-installations who focus on maximizing yields from a smaller mounting area. Isola New Energy 156M SPLIT CELL stands out from the competition with its solid build quality, which realistically shortens the return on investment for the photovoltaic system.

Tight roof space, roofs where every square metre has to count and weight-limited structures.
Top 17% of the 210-410 W band, against a median of 25 yrs.
Bottom 8% of the 210-410 W band, against a median of 19.80%. Ranked 13,770th in the whole database.
Bottom 8% of the 210-410 W band, against a median of 197.6. Ranked 13,762nd in the whole database.
Bottom 23% of the 210-410 W band, against a median of 57.7.
Splitting the module into two independent sections halves the operating current per cell, directly reducing resistive losses and hot spot risk. The series dissipates less heat under partial shading conditions typical of Polish rooftops with dormers and chimneys.
Two independently operating sections work in parallel, so shading of the lower half does not fully suppress output from the upper half. On complex-geometry rooftops this translates into a measurably higher annual energy yield compared to standard full-cell modules.
Monocrystalline cells show better spectral response under overcast conditions than polycrystalline equivalents, which is relevant in Poland's climate (~1,650 peak sun hours/year). The series reaches up to 17.01% efficiency, on par with the polycrystalline peer comparable (Jinko 72 Series: 17%).
The manufacturer commits to a 30-year linear power warranty - a longer commitment than many standard contracts (typically 25 years). For prosumer systems targeting a 10-15 year payback period, this provides meaningful residual-value protection.
Eight variants spanning 250-330 Wp enable precise matching to limited roof areas or specific inverter MPPT input windows without requiring power bypass workarounds.
The 15.38-17.01% efficiency range lags significantly behind peer comparables: JA Solar Monocrystalline80 reaches 23.15% and Waaree ARKA SERIES 19.81%. The 2-8 percentage point gap means achieving the same system power requires 12-50% more roof area compared to modern Tier-1 modules.
The 156 mm wafer standard was superseded by M10 (182 mm) and G12 (210 mm) around 2021, enabling 400-600 Wp modules that lower BoS costs (wiring, racking, inverter) per installed kWp. The 156M SPLIT CELL series does not benefit from this structural cost advantage.
The manufacturer warrants product integrity for 12 years, whereas JA Solar, JinkoSolar, and Trina Solar standardly offer 15-25-year product warranties. The shorter coverage window increases risk for installers delivering projects with external financing or PPA agreements.
Current Tier-1 modules (JA Solar, Jinko, LONGi) are available in 560-620 Wp formats, reducing panel count, MC4 connectors, cable runs, and mounting points by up to 40-50% for an equivalent system size. The 156M SPLIT CELL series materially raises BoS costs on projects above 10 kWp.
Isola New Energy does not appear on the BNEF Tier 1 module manufacturer list for Q1 2026 or in major agency reports. For commercial installations financed via bank loans or leasing, the absence of Tier-1 status may result in loan application rejection or a requirement for additional technology insurance.
- Efficiency of 16.0% is 5.8pp below the database median (21.8%)
- 159.8 W/m² power density is 58.3 W/m² below database median (218.1 W/m²) - requires larger installation area
- At -0.35%/°C, loses 0.05pp more power per degree than database median (-0.30%/°C)
- Weight of 20.4 kg (6.1 kg below database median of 26.5 kg) allows easier transport and roof mounting
- Ranked #13770 out of 14129 panels for efficiency in the database
