Strong in heat, no clear weak spot
The Hanersun Hitouch 6 (HN21-40H) series are modules designed for high efficiency on limited roof space - without compromising on durability. This line uses monocrystalline PERC cells, which perform well in real-world conditions, not just in a laboratory. The half-cut design combined with multiple SMBB busbars is also noteworthy - this approach improves current flow within the module and increases resistance to losses when the installation is partially shaded.
In practice, the HN21-40H helps investors address common issues: maximizing energy output from a given roof area, maintaining stable performance under variable sunlight, and minimizing the risk of reduced returns over the long term. A key advantage is the high-density lamination with very small gaps between cells, which translates to better utilization of the module's active surface area.
This is a good choice for homes, small businesses, and projects where aesthetics, predictable production, and reasonable overall installation costs are important.

Residential, commercial and shaded-installations.
Top 24% of the PERC 400-450 W segment, against a median of -0.350.
The top variant in the series (405 Wp) achieves a module efficiency of 21.07% — higher than all three comparable series: Goldi Solar GS10-M108-BF (20.66%), EGing PV STAR SERIES (20.74%), and VSUN405-108BMH-DG (20.74%). This translates into a tangible advantage on roof space-constrained installations.
The half-cut cell architecture combined with super multi-busbar (SMBB) interconnection and high-density lamination (~0.5 mm inter-cell spacing) reduces internal resistance and minimizes power losses under partial shading. Hanersun claims an approximately 2% module power gain compared to conventional 5-busbar designs.
The 25-year linear power warranty aligns with the segment standard at the time of launch (2021) and gives system owners predictable energy yield across the full intended investment payback horizon.
Monocrystalline PERC cells represent a mature, well-documented technology with an extensive field degradation dataset. This simplifies risk assessment and facilitates O&M activities throughout the warranty period.
Production ended in 2023. This limits the availability of replacement modules for system expansions and repairs, precludes certification updates, and may create power-matching challenges in future capacity additions.
For nearly the entire commercial lifecycle of the series (2021–2023), Hanersun did not appear on the BNEF Tier 1 list. Tier 1 status was achieved only in Q2 2023, and exclusively for the 600 W+ line (HItouch 6N/TOPCon) — not for the HN21-40H. This may complicate project acceptance under financing structures or lease agreements that require manufacturer bankability.
PERC cells exhibit higher light-induced degradation (LID/LeTID) rates than N-type TOPCon, which has dominated the market offering in this power class since 2024. For systems commissioned today, the HN21-40H represents technology one generation behind current alternatives.
