The SOLRIF N Terracotta Orange series is a fully integrated BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) system that combines the function of a roof with solar energy production - without the need for traditional roofing materials. Thanks to its distinct terracotta color (RAL 8023), the panels seamlessly blend into classic architecture, making them an ideal choice for historic city centers, conservation areas, and projects where aesthetics are as important as performance. Unlike standard built-up panels, SOLRIF N replaces the traditional roofing, creating a sealed and durable structure. The use of N-type TOPCon bifacial solar cells guarantees an exceptionally low degradation rate and high operational stability for decades. The double-tempered 2+2 mm glass enclosure provides protection against hail (Class 3), extreme snow and wind loads, and corrosion from ammonia and salt fog. The series boasts a Cradle to Cradle Gold certification - the first and only such certification in the world for photovoltaic panels - which confirms the highest environmental standards: 98.8% recyclability and 35% use of recycled glass in production. A 30-year product and performance warranty with 90% of the original output maintained, and the use of only renewable energy produced within the European Union, make SOLRIF N Terracotta Orange the choice for discerning investors who value quality, durability, and sustainable development.

About the SOLRIF N Terracotta Orange series

6 answered

These answers cover the whole series. Where a figure differs, the specification above is this module's own.

Can Solitek SOLRIF N Terracotta Orange panels be installed on historic buildings or in heritage conservation zones?
Yes, the SOLRIF N Terracotta Orange series was designed specifically for such locations. The distinctive terracotta color (RAL 8023) closely mimics traditional clay roof tiles, allowing the panels to meet the aesthetic requirements of heritage conservation zones and historic city centers. As a BIPV system, they fully replace conventional roofing without requiring any additional mounting superstructure.
What warranty does the Solitek SOLRIF N Terracotta Orange come with?
Solitek provides a 30-year product warranty and a 30-year power output warranty for the SOLRIF N Terracotta Orange series. The power warranty guarantees at least 90% of rated output over the entire period. For comparison, standard panels typically come with 12-15 years of product warranty and 25 years of power warranty, making these terms exceptionally strong.
What are N-type TOPCon bifacial cells and why do they matter in the SOLRIF N series?
TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) is an advanced silicon cell technology offering higher efficiency and a lower degradation rate than conventional PERC cells. The bifacial configuration means cells generate electricity from both sides - from direct sunlight as well as reflected light. In practice, this translates to a longer system lifespan and higher energy yield throughout the solar season.
How does the SOLRIF N Terracotta Orange differ from conventional add-on rooftop solar panels?
SOLRIF N is a BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) system that completely replaces conventional roofing - no separate waterproofing layer or racking above the existing roof structure is needed. Panels are mounted directly on roof battens at pitches from 12 to 70 degrees, forming a weathertight and durable surface. Unlike rack-mounted systems, they add no extra height or weight above the roof plane, which is critical for architectural and heritage compliance.
How resistant is the SOLRIF N Terracotta Orange to hail, snow, and harsh weather conditions?
The double-tempered 2+2 mm glass housing provides Class 3 hail resistance. The series withstands snow loads up to 10,500 Pa and wind loads up to 3,600 Pa, and its sealed BIPV construction also resists ammonia and salt mist corrosion. This makes it suitable for climatically demanding locations across Europe.
What does the Cradle to Cradle Gold certification mean and why does it set SOLRIF N apart from the competition?
The Cradle to Cradle Gold certificate is a prestigious award confirming the highest ecological standards across the full product lifecycle. Solitek is the first and only photovoltaic manufacturer in the world to have received it. This means 98.8% recyclability of the panels, 35% recycled glass content in production, and manufacturing powered exclusively by renewable energy within the European Union.
