The Talesun TM3G48M (BIPRO) series are bifacial modules with a 96-cell configuration, designed for reliable operation in demanding installation conditions. The key advantage is the combination of N-type TOPCon cell technology with a dual glass construction, resulting in lower degradation over time and better environmental resilience compared to many traditional modules with a rear film. The application of 16BB half-cut helps minimize internal losses and improves power output under low-light conditions, which is significant for real-world operation in Poland.

This series is for investors seeking to extract more energy from the same surface area-particularly on ground-mounted systems, flat roofs, and installations where reflected light from the ground actually contributes to energy yield. Additionally, the modules feature high resistance to PID and a sealed component housing (e.g., junction box), facilitating the design of systems resilient to humidity, dust, and wind without concerns about performance degradation.

Common questions

6 answered
How much extra energy does the bifacial design of the Talesun TM3G48M generate?
Thanks to the dual glass construction and rear-side generation, the module also captures light reflected from the ground. In practice this adds a bifacial gain of roughly a few up to around ten-plus percent compared to a standard monofacial panel, depending on mounting height, ground albedo (e.g., light gravel or snow), and tilt angle. The largest gains occur in ground-mount and flat-roof east-west installations.
Is the Talesun TM3G48M suitable for flat roofs, or only ground-mount systems?
The TM3G48M series performs well both on ground-mount arrays and flat roofs, where the panel sits with clearance above the surface so reflected light can reach the rear glass. On sloped roofs mounted flush to the surface, the bifacial gain will be minimal, but the panel still functions as a standard high-efficiency mono module. The rigid dual glass build also handles heavy snow and wind loads well.
What warranty applies to the product and power output of the TM3G48M series?
Talesun offers a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power warranty, standard for its newer TOPCon module generation. First-year degradation is capped at around 1%, with subsequent annual degradation not exceeding roughly 0.4%, meaning the panel should retain over 87% of its original output after 30 years.
How does TOPCon technology in the TM3G48M differ from older PERC cells?
N-type TOPCon cells feature an additional thin passivating oxide layer that reduces electron recombination and lowers energy losses compared to conventional P-type PERC cells. This results in higher efficiency (the module reaches up to 455 Wp), better low-light performance, and slower degradation over time, meaningfully extending the system's productive lifespan.
Are Talesun TM3G48M modules resistant to PID and moisture?
Yes, the series offers high resistance to potential-induced degradation (PID), which matters in large arrays running at higher system voltages. The junction box also carries an IP68 rating, and combined with the dual glass construction it effectively shields the module interior from moisture, dust, and water vapor, reducing corrosion risk and preventing performance loss in harsh environments.
How does the TM3G48M perform in cold winter conditions like in Poland?
Solar panels, including the TM3G48M series, actually perform more efficiently at lower temperatures because cooler silicon reduces voltage losses. The half-cut cell design with 16 busbars further improves output under the diffuse, low-intensity light typical of Polish winters, while the rigid frame and glass backsheet handle snow load well, which matters when snow cover lingers on the module.
