The Sunova TS-BG66 series is designed for maximum energy yield in situations where every square meter of roof space counts. The use of a bifacial design allows the module to utilize not only direct sunlight, but also reflected light - which significantly improves production in installations on light-colored roofs, membranes, and ground-mounted structures. A key advantage is the double-glass construction, which increases resistance to micro-cracks, moisture, and varying weather conditions, particularly important in the Polish climate.

The TS-BG66 also features a anti-reflective coating, which helps maintain stable performance under strong sunlight and at large angles of incidence. Thanks to the half-cell design, the module is better able to cope with partial shading and reduces heat loss, resulting in more predictable yields.

It is a good choice for premium home installations, commercial flat roofs, and PV farms, where durability, a longer lifespan, and greater tolerance for installation conditions are important.

Common questions

6 answered
Are Sunova TS-BG66 panels suitable for flat roofs with a light-colored membrane?
Yes, this is one of the series' main use cases. The bifacial design captures light reflected off light-colored membranes and ground-mounted surfaces, boosting energy yield by several to over ten percent compared to a monofacial module installed under the same conditions.
What warranty comes with Sunova TS-BG66 modules?
The manufacturer provides a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power output warranty. This means the panel should maintain high efficiency throughout the system's lifetime, offering predictable returns over several decades of operation.
How does bifacial technology in the TS-BG66 differ from standard PERC panels?
A standard PERC panel generates power only from its front side. The TS-BG66 uses PERC cells in a bifacial configuration, so the rear side also produces energy from reflected light. This delivers an extra power gain in practice, especially on light-colored roofs or ground-mount arrays with adequate clearance.
How much power does a single Sunova TS-BG66 panel produce?
The maximum output is 505 Wp. That's a high value for a standard panel format, meaning fewer modules are needed to reach a target system size, which reduces the number of mounting points and shortens installation time.
Does the dual-glass construction in the TS-BG66 add weight and complicate installation?
Dual-glass panels are somewhat heavier than standard modules with a rear backsheet, but this is fully offset by greater resistance to microcracks, moisture, and mechanical damage. Installation uses standard mounting systems compatible with the module frame, with no additional structural requirements.
Is Sunova a Tier 1 brand, and where is it manufactured?
Sunova is a Chinese manufacturer, but the TS-BG66 series does not currently hold Tier 1 status under the BloombergNEF classification. This does not indicate lower module quality, only different financial classification criteria. It's worth considering when comparing loan bankability options for the installation.
