Strong in heat, no clear weak spot
The Longi Solar Hi-MO 4m (LR4-72HIH 445~465M) series was designed for high energy yield from every square meter, especially in locations where installation power and stable performance under real-world conditions matter. The use of monocrystalline PERC cells and the half-cut cell configuration minimizes resistive losses and helps maintain output when part of the module is temporarily shaded - a practical advantage for rooftops near chimneys, windows, or installations close to trees. Furthermore, the construction with multi-busbar interconnection improves current conduction and enhances resistance to micro-cracking during transportation and operation in wind and snow. In daily operation, resistance to PID and limitation of the LID effect are also important, translating to slower degradation and more predictable yield over the coming years. This makes it an excellent choice for both residential and commercial installations, where reliable yield, aesthetic mounting, and guaranteed parameters over a long period are expected.

Residential, commercial and shaded-installations.
Top 19% of the PERC 450-500 W segment, against a median of -0.350.
Longi Solar (founded in 2000) is consistently confirmed as a Tier-1 manufacturer by BloombergNEF, supporting bankability - easier project financing from banks and insurers. It is one of the world's largest producers of mono wafers and cells.
Half-cut PERC cells combined with multi-busbar interconnection reduce resistive losses and improve mechanical resistance to microcracks during transport, snow load, and wind. In practice this improves yield under partial shading (chimneys, dormers, nearby trees).
Efficiency of 20.5-21.4% sits in the upper range of PERC-technology performance for the 2021-2023 period, comparable to competing PERC/mono modules in the same 445-465 Wp power segment.
The design mitigates potential-induced degradation (PID) and limits the light-induced degradation (LID) effect, resulting in slower aging and more predictable energy output during the module's early years of operation.
The Hi-MO 4m LR4-72HIH series was manufactured from 2021 to 2023 and is no longer part of the manufacturer's current lineup. This limits availability of identical modules for system expansion and may complicate warranty service in the long run.
Peak efficiency of 21.4% trails comparable 465 Wp modules - Jinko JS182MHC120 (21.48%) and Vikram Solar SOMERA (21.51%) - while TOPCon technology (e.g., Luxor ECO LINE Glass-Glass, 23.6%) clearly surpasses the older PERC architecture.
The module is monofacial, whereas comparable competitor series (e.g., Luxor Solar TOPCon glass-glass bifacial) offer additional rear-side yield, particularly valuable on high-albedo surfaces or ground-mounted installations.
- At 20.9% efficiency, this panel is on par with typical PERC 450-500W modules
- At 209.3 W/m² power density, roof space requirements are typical for PERC 450-500W panels
- At -0.34%/°C, hot weather performance is typical for PERC 450-500W panels
- #10072 for efficiency, #8778 for temperature performance out of 14005 panels
