Middle of its segment, short guarantee
The NeMo 3.0 120M series from Heckert Solar is a German answer to investors' growing expectations for durability and performance in photovoltaic installations. The modules are manufactured at the factory in Langenwetzendorf, Thuringia, which means full control over the production process and none of the compromises typical of Asian assembly lines relying on imported components. At the heart of the series is half-cut cell technology, thanks to which 120 monocrystalline PERC cells generate less power loss than classic 60-cell designs, and the panel performs better under partial shading conditions. The use of 9 busbars improves current collection and the stability of internal connections, translating into higher reliability over the long operating life. This solution is aimed at investors - both residential and commercial - for whom German manufacturing quality and predictable, locally handled warranty service matter, without the need to deal with distant suppliers. The NeMo 3.0 120M series performs particularly well on roofs with irregular sun exposure, where shading resistance genuinely impacts annual energy yield, while also offering a solid alternative to Asian-made modules at a comparable price point.

Modules are produced at Heckert Solar's Langenwetzendorf (Thuringia) and Chemnitz plants without relying on imported cells from Asia. Heckert Solar is one of the last manufacturers maintaining continuous module production in Germany, resulting in predictable quality and a shorter supply chain.
Splitting cells into halves (half-cut) reduces resistive losses and improves partial-shading performance compared to conventional 60-cell modules, which is significant on roofs with irregular sun exposure.
Using 9 busbars instead of the standard 5 improves current collection from each cell and reduces the risk of microcracks affecting power output, supporting long-term performance stability.
15-year product warranty and 25-year power warranty are backed by a Germany-based manufacturer, offering a simpler claims process for investors than dealing with suppliers outside the EU.
The NeMo 3.0 120M series was phased out (released 2019, discontinued 2022), meaning limited market availability and potential difficulty sourcing matching modules for future system expansion.
Efficiency of 19.8-20.2% trails comparable modules: Solarwatt Panel vision GM 3.0 pure (20.7%), Suntech Ultra S mini (21.1%), and JA Solar JAM60D20 (20.6%) at the same 385 Wp maximum power, meaning a larger roof area is needed for equivalent output.
- Efficiency of 20.0% is 1.8pp below the database median (21.8%)
- Power density of 200.3 W/m² is 17.8 W/m² below database median (218.1 W/m²) - needs more roof space
- -0.34%/°C temperature coefficient - 0.04pp worse than database median (-0.30%/°C), expect higher hot weather losses
- Weight of 20.5 kg (6.0 kg below database median of 26.5 kg) allows easier transport and roof mounting
- In the top 87% for efficiency among all N-type panels
