Space saver, weak in heat
The Gamko New Energy GKA96N-PRO series is designed to maximize energy yield on a limited surface area - a solution that truly helps to "extract" more power from a roof or a tightly planned installation. The use of N-type TOPCon cells supports high efficiency and stable performance over a longer period, while the multi busbar design improves current collection and increases resistance to micro-cracks during installation and operation.
In practice, this series also performs well in less sunny conditions - thanks to the optimized surface of the cells and anti-reflective coated ribbons, which results in more predictable yields on cloudy days. Another advantage is PID resistance, which is particularly important in demanding environments. For investors, resistance to wind and snow loads is also important, making it easier to select panels for Polish conditions. The GKA96N-PRO is suitable for residential, commercial, and projects where efficiency and reliability are paramount.

Bottom 20% of the TOPCon 450-500 W segment, against a median of -0.290.
The peak module efficiency of 24.02% clearly outperforms direct competitors in this power class: the Sunket SKT460~480M10-120D3 reaches 22.24%, the Shinson S-Blade BIPV Frameless 22.24%, and the First Solar Series 6 Plus Bifacial only 19%. The 1.78–5.02 percentage-point advantage translates into a measurably smaller installation footprint for the same peak power output.
N-type TOPCon cells exhibit significantly lower light-induced degradation (LID) and a superior temperature coefficient compared to P-type PERC cells, which — given Poland's climatic conditions with large diurnal temperature swings — meaningfully increases annual energy yield. Bifacial TOPCon technology has been recognized as the premium standard in the residential and commercial module segment since 2023.
The bifacial construction enables energy generation from both the front and rear faces of the module. At a typical TOPCon bifaciality factor of 70–85% and with a high-albedo surface (light-colored roofing, gravel, or snow), real-world energy yield can increase by 10–25% relative to a monofacial equivalent, making this series particularly attractive for ground-mounted systems and rooftop installations with light-colored surfaces.
The manufacturer provides a 30-year linear power output warranty, placing it among the longest commitments in the segment — peer-comparable products such as the First Solar Series 6 Plus Bifacial and the Sunket SKT460~480M10-120D3 offer a standard 25–30-year warranty. The extended warranty horizon reduces investor financial risk and improves IRR metrics for projects financed under long-term models.
The series carries certified resistance to snow load (5,400 Pa) and wind load (2,400 Pa), meeting the requirements for the majority of Polish climatic zones under standard PN-EN 1991-1-3. Additional PID resistance limits degradation in systems operating at high system voltages typical of 1,000 V DC string configurations.
The manufacturer offers only a 12-year product warranty (materials and workmanship), whereas leading Tier 1 manufacturers — LONGi, Trina Solar, and JA Solar — routinely provide 15 years. For investors planning installations with a 25–30-year service life, this represents a real risk of no warranty coverage during the final 13–18 years of operation.
Gamko New Energy does not appear on the BNEF Tier 1 lists (Q1 2025 / Q1 2026), which complicates or prevents securing third-party project financing (investment loans, leasing) for utility-scale PV projects where financial institutions require modules from bankable manufacturers. While this factor carries less weight for prosumer installations, it limits the potential for reselling the project to an institutional investor.
