Warranty pick, heavy for its output
Modules from the Exiom EX440-455M(B)-144(HC) series are an advanced solution based on bifacial technology, which allows for active energy generation from both sides of the cell. By utilizing light reflected from the ground, these panels significantly increase the total energy yield, which is crucial in professional ground-mounted installations and on flat roofs covered with a bright membrane. The use of Half-Cut cells effectively minimizes power losses on internal connections and drastically limits the negative impact of partial shading on the operation of the entire system. The design utilizing 144 smaller monocrystalline cells guarantees excellent thermal stability, eliminating the risk of damage associated with the formation of harmful hot-spots. This series is dedicated to investors focused on maximizing profitability from a given area, especially in the variable weather conditions typical of the Polish climate. High resistance to mechanical loads and slow linear degradation ensure that these modules provide stable and predictable production for decades. The use of Multi-Busbar technology additionally shortens the path of current flow, which directly translates into higher efficiency in full sun. It is an optimal choice for photovoltaic farms and commercial systems, where the priority is to utilize the albedo effect to radically accelerate the return on investment.

Commercial and shaded-installations.
Weight-limited structures.
Top 20% of the PERC 450-500 W segment, against a median of 25 yrs.
Bottom 7% of the PERC 450-500 W segment, against a median of 53.1. Ranked 12,459th in the whole database.
Modules generate power from both sides of the cell. In ground-mount installations over light-colored surfaces, or flat rooftops with white membranes, the bifaciality factor typical of PERC (~70%) translates to an additional 8–15% annual energy yield compared to monofacial modules of the same nominal power rating.
Splitting 72 full cells into 144 half-cut cells reduces internal resistance and mitigates hot-spot formation. Under partial shading conditions, string-level power losses are up to 30–50% lower than in conventional full-cell modules — a significant advantage on Polish rooftops with obstructions such as chimneys and antennas.
Exiom offers a 30-year linear power warranty backed by a 25-year product warranty. Peer comparables in this segment — Waaree ARKA and Sunlike Solar SKT — standard offer 25-year power warranties, giving this series a 5-year advantage and extending the bankable financing horizon for project developers.
The peak module efficiency of 20.9% is virtually identical to the Waaree ARKA Series (20.93%), positioning this series at the top of the PERC bifacial 455 Wp segment for the 2020–2023 production vintage.
Multi-busbar technology shortens current flow paths and reduces resistive losses, delivering measurably higher daily energy yield compared to legacy 9BB or standard busbar configurations under irradiance levels above 800 W/m².
Production of the EX440-455M(B)-144 ended in 2023. Availability of new modules is limited exclusively to distributor warehouse stock, making it impossible to source identical panels for future system expansions and potentially extending warranty claim lead times.
The series peaks at 20.9% efficiency, while the Sunlike Solar SKT420~455M10-108D6 and IBC Solar LS-TA2 455 achieve 22.8% — a 1.9 percentage-point gap meaning a competing installation of the same area will produce approximately 9% more energy annually.
PERC cells exhibit light-induced degradation (LID) of approximately 2% in the first year of operation (vs. ~1% for N-type TOPCon) and a bifaciality factor of ~70% (vs. >80% for TOPCon). The market shifted en masse to N-type modules in 2023, rendering this series technologically outdated even relative to its current market price.
The industry abandoned the 166 mm format in favor of M10 (182 mm) and G12 (210 mm) between 2022 and 2023. M6-based systems have limited compatibility with modern power optimizers and microinverters designed for larger cell formats.
- At 20.9% efficiency, this panel is on par with typical PERC 450-500W modules
- Power density of 209.3 W/m² matches the PERC 450-500W median
- Temperature coefficient of -0.35%/°C matches the PERC 450-500W median
- Weight of 27.5 kg is 3.0 kg above PERC 450-500W median (24.5 kg) - verify structural support
- Bifaciality factor of 70% can add 4-10% extra yield with reflective mounting surface
