## About this series

The SunEvo Solar Evo T series consists of **transparent bifacial modules** with a **double glass** construction and a **frameless** design, intended for locations where both energy generation and aesthetics are important. Thanks to its high transparency, the module can function as an active glazing - allowing natural light to enter while also generating electricity, making it easy to design modern glazing solutions without sacrificing self-consumption.

The use of double glazing improves resistance to weather conditions and ensures long-term stability, while **N-type monocrystalline** cells help maintain good performance even in demanding conditions and with variable sunlight exposure. The bifacial design also allows for the utilization of reflected light from the surroundings - a real advantage on bright surfaces, in windy conditions, and in open structures.

The Evo T is particularly suitable for **BIPV** (Building Integrated Photovoltaics), greenhouses, winter gardens, carports, and Agri-PV projects, where conventional, opaque panels simply limit the functionality of the building.

## Notable figures

- Module efficiency of 13.6% is 5.9pp below average for \*\*N-type 0-400W\*\* panels (median: 19.5%)
- 135.9 W/m² power density is 59.0 W/m² below \*\*N-type 0-400W\*\* median (194.9 W/m²) - requires larger installation area
- -0.30%/°C temperature coefficient (median: -0.32%/°C) - retains ~1% more power at high temperatures
- Weight of 27.0 kg is 5.0 kg above \*\*N-type 0-400W\*\* median (22.0 kg) - verify structural support
- Bifacial design (80% factor) captures reflected light - adds 4-12% yield on ground-mount or white roof

## Questions

### What is the light transmittance of the SunEvo Solar Evo T modules and what does it mean for the end user?

The Evo T Series offers customizable transmittance ranging from 5% to 70%, meaning the module can let through varying amounts of natural daylight. In practice, you choose the daylighting level that fits your project - for example, a 45% transmittance variant balances power output with visibility, which works well in greenhouses and canopies. Note that higher transmittance results in lower wattage; the 45% variant reaches up to 340 Wp.

### Are SunEvo Solar Evo T modules suitable for BIPV and architectural glazing applications?

Yes, the Evo T is engineered specifically for BIPV. Its frameless double-glass construction allows direct integration into facades, skylights, sunrooms, and canopies. The module simultaneously serves as structural glazing and a power generator, eliminating the need for separate decorative elements. This makes it particularly valuable for projects where architectural requirements and energy generation goals must be met together.

### Do the N-type cells in the Evo T actually perform better under overcast skies and diffuse irradiance?

Yes. Monocrystalline N-type cells have a lower temperature coefficient of power loss and higher sensitivity to low-irradiance conditions compared to conventional P-type PERC cells. In climates with frequent cloudy days - like much of Central and Northern Europe - the annual yield advantage of N-type technology can reach several percentage points, making Evo T a practical choice for regions with variable solar resources.

### What power warranty does SunEvo Solar offer for the Evo T Series?

SunEvo Solar provides a 30-year linear power warranty for the Evo T Series, guaranteeing that annual power degradation stays below a specified threshold - typically under 0.5% per year for N-type technology. It is worth reviewing the full warranty terms carefully, as SunEvo Solar is not classified as a Tier 1 manufacturer, which may affect long-term warranty enforceability and bankability for larger commercial projects.

### How does the bifacial design of the Evo T affect energy yield in a carport or canopy installation?

In carports and canopies, the rear side of the Evo T module can absorb irradiance reflected off a bright surface - concrete, light-gray pavers, or snow. Under typical conditions, bifaciality adds 5-15% additional energy production compared to a monofacial equivalent. The gain is most pronounced when ground albedo is high and during winter months when snow cover significantly boosts reflected irradiance reaching the rear cell surface.

### Does the frameless design of the Evo T modules require a special mounting system?

Yes. Without an aluminum frame, standard module clamps are incompatible. Evo T modules must be mounted using double-glass-specific clamps or point-fixing hardware - such as through-laminate bolts - depending on the structural design. Before purchasing, consult your distributor or installer to confirm a compatible racking system, especially for BIPV applications with specific fire-resistance or load requirements.
